Sandman Clocks Micro-USB to USB Flat, Android Charging Cable, Black, 4 Foot

This cable appears to be unusually well made and thoughtfully designed. The Micro-USB connector is commonly the weak point of any cable such as this and the 'standard' construction only varies according to how much and what kind of wrapping is moulded around it. This cable is different!The Micro-USB connector has a much smaller opening than normal. There is considerably more plastic material inside of the shell, presenting what might, at first glance, appear to be a restriction that could cause trouble. NOT SO! The smaller opening actually provides a snug fit for the Micro-USB socket 'tongue' and is evidence of the precision with which it is made. A snug fit means better support and greatly reduced 'wobble' with consequently less wear on both the Sandman Clocks plug and the socket to which it is attached.Obviously, this cable is not your 'run-of-the-mill' import. It fits both of my Kindles perfectly and being 1 mm longer than 'normal,' is long enough to lock into my Android 'phone while in its case. That 1 mm extension might seem to be a weak point but since the 'housing' actually does not contribute anything to the support, the internal bracing and unusually positive "click" locking of the excellent retention prongs make Sandman Clocks' Micro-USB connector more rugged than the usual 'one-sloppy-size-fits-all' plug you will find in virtually all of your OEM cables.Now then, about that flat wire: Again, unexpected quality. Not your typical grooved, double zip-cord, but a smooth, supple, jacketed cable precisely moulded to its plugs. It comes folded, as in the illustration with an elastic band, not your typical twisted wire wrap, and unfolds with minimal 'memory.' Round cables make themselves 'known' by their resistance to manipulation but this cable does not. When I say supple, I mean it. And the "click" lock means that it will not release until you want it to do so.Normally, I wait awhile before submitting a review but because of the obvious quality, I am projecting longevity for this particular product and advising you to get one while they are available. In the future, the Micro-USB standard is bound to change and so will this product, so who knows? Besides, the price is right - especially if you are a PRIME member - and why buy junk if you don't have to?Bottom line: If you need a 4' Micro-USB cable and want one that will not disappoint and will outlast what you are replacing, this is IT! And that's a no-brainer!

Amazingly cool. Really like the fact that it snaps snugly in place. Using this with my LG G4 [remember those?] phone and charger. I'm going to purchase two more. It's four feet long so it's a decent length, I would like to see them work out a cable that's 6ft, and 10 ft, pretty much just because they CAN, and it would be REALLY cool to have those to use with my other usb chargeable devices, like my RAV POWER NIKON Battery charger [hint hint]. Until then, this works just fine. Sandman Clocks Micro-USB to USB Flat Cable - 4 foot (1.2 Meters) (Black)  It's a good product and it works great thus far. I'm guessing this is going to be the way most cables will be made from now on. Worth it, and definitely worth the money. Hope it stays at this price point for awhile. I want a couple of them.

The Playstation 4 only has USB ports on the front. The round cable that PSVR comes with doesn't fit underneath the PS4. This results in a messy cable snaking around the side.This flat cable runs curves nicely to fit under the PS4, resulting in a cleaner PSVR install. This problem will be fixed with the arrival of PS4 Pro, but for now this ribbon USB cable does the trick.Recommended.

This cable appears well built. The micro usb end on this cable has much less slop (fits more snugly) when plugged into my phones charging port than other cables I have purchased in the past. It also has a slim profile allowing it to plug into my phone without interference from the case. And it charges my phone quickly. What more can I ask for?

I normally don't write reviews for products, however, within a month of purchasing this product the grips were completely gone. I bought this product to solve this problem, yet here I am again. I used it an average amount and for the first week, it was great, after that the hooks began to disappear. I am disappointed.

I purchased this specifically because of the flat design. My USB connection in my car is in the arm rest, and this allows me to have the arm rest closed while using it.

Excellent light-weight cable.
