Chomps through lots without overheating or getting jammed. However I never try to use max sheets as never used a shredder that can do that for more than one feed if that. Only minor gripe is touch controls can be a bit temperamental - maybe I don’t have the right touch? **Q: After using for 3 minutes turned off for over an hour but it won’t star** A: Yep - mine does exactly the same. I've been putting mine in the fridge - really!!! Every time the red heat warning comes on, five minutes in the fridge sorts in for another few sheets. Maximum sheets on the shredder says 10. Mine struggles with 3, so 2 at a time is the norm. Then the damn thing overheats! They really are terrible things. **Q: can we cut bank card through this machine** A: Doesn"t even cut paper ! Do NOT waste your money **Q: Would this shred cardboard** A: I wouldn't recommend even trying to cut cardboard. This shredder seems to slow down with more than two sheets of A4. ## Frequently Bought Together - Rexel X8 Cross Cut Paper Shredder, Shreds 8 Sheets, P4 Security, Home/Home Office, 14 Litre Removable Bin, Quiet and Compact, Secure Range, 2020123 - Fellowes Shredder Oil for Micro Cut and Cross Cut Paper Shredders, 355ml - Shredder Oil Lubricant - Cathedral Products Pack of 12 Shredder Lubrication Sheets - Great alternative to messy oil --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.be/products/280886937-rexel-x8-cross-cut-paper-shredder-p4-security-8-sheet](https://www.desertcart.be/products/280886937-rexel-x8-cross-cut-paper-shredder-p4-security-8-sheet) --- *Product available on Desertcart Belgium* *Store origin: BE* *Last updated: 2026-10-13*
