VERY CLEVER PRODUCT/WORKS GREAT
After being frustrated for years with chair leg protectors that stick on with sticky pads, or felt pads that glue on, or pads that slip on but wouldn't stay in place, I did a serious Google search and found these Chair Leg Hardwood Floor Protectors from NancyProtectz. I bought the small black ones about 18 months ago and they have been great. They are easy to slip onto the chair legs because they have quite a bit of stretch to the "socks". They stay in place reasonably well because of the rubber grips on the inside of the socks. We have them on our wood kitchen chairs with rectangle legs as well as our bar stools with round metal legs all of which are on our kitchen hard wood floors. These slide well on the wood floors making it easy to move chairs and bar stools around. After several months of use, a few will start to pull down, but they are easily slid back into place. After more than a year of use, they had picked up considerable "dust bunnies" so I decided to remove the socks and run them through our washer; they turned out great and still look and work like new. I was amazed at how they show zero wear especially on the bottoms where they slide on the floors. They would probably work well for outdoor patios with stone or concrete but they probably won't slide as well and I'm sure they would wear through quicker. I highly recommend these for chair legs or bar stool legs that sit on hard wood floors. A very high quality and innovative product.

Cute cute and no damage to hardwood floors
I bought four sets of these socks in the small size, silver gray color. I have no problems with them coming off or wearing away, on the two chairs presently outfitted with the socks. Our floors are glossy hardwood newly installed. The X-legs on my dining chairs are metal and they were damaging the floor as my spouse hitched his chair to get closer to the table. I tried using foam pads on the sharp edges of the legs, but they did not stay in place. My solution was to apply new sticky-backed foam pads to the metal edges and then place these socks over them. Just like putting on stockings, it works nicely with the Small size socks, which fit a one-inch leg. Now the chairs slide on the slick hardwood without a problem.I add a photo of the before and after, so you can see what the metal leg ends looked like and why sticky pads alone did not work. Perhaps screw-in tilting attachments would work, but I felt that they'd cause severe damage to the floors and the chairs should it break. I trust the socks. The sticky backs on the foam pads would slip around and pick up dog hair and bird feathers, so the socks, without sticky stuff to deal with, can be vacuumed clean of such objects and not come off the legs.I bought 4 sets of the socks, and as noted only two sets are presently in use. The other two dining chairs are in use elsewhere and not in use for dining. I'll hold them as backups for the time being.

Great on wood chair but no so good for metal chairs
I ordered these about 4 months ago in the X-small size for a ¾” metal chair leg. After the original pads wore off, we had difficulties getting stick-on felt pads to stay on. The chairs are on ceramic flooring and the movement/dragging/scooting pushes the felt pads off the small surface area. Just like the felt pads, the socks worked well for a while. The issue was that the sharp edge metal legs dragging across the ceramic floor made a hole in the socks. I think this is a problem with the metal legs and not with the socks or the felt pads. I show the pictures of the chairs so others will be aware. I have also used the larger socks on wood legs, and they are holding up very well. The wood legs have slightly rounded edges.

Probably the best way to protect your floors
I looked at different options to protect my laminate wood floor, and decided to give these "chair socks" a try. I am very happy with this product. These socks make it easy to slide chairs without scratching the floor (which makes it a breeze to clean the floor under the table!).Pros include:1) it's easy to put them on (i.e., no tool needed)2) they stay on3) they fit on different shapes very well (e.g., square, round, or probably even triangle if necessary)4) they do not seem to wear or tear easily(Possible) Cons include:1) they are more visible compare to other options2) the priceThey come in different colors, but they really do not blend in with the color of the chair; so, they are very visible. At least, I do not find them "ugly." I had to buy 3 packages (24 socks) to use them on the dinning chairs and the bar stools; so, I ended up paying about $50. Initially, I thought it's a lot of money for those tiny things, but now I think they are really worth the money since they protect the floor very well and are extremely durable. Besides, each sock only costs less than $2. We can't make such well-constructed socks with such great material for $2! I will buy more, and I highly recommend this product.

So far they work well and look great
I've only had these a few days, but so far I like them. I was hesitant to buy these because I thought they might look a bit strange and bulky, and they do, but actually in a cute way. I'm glad I bought them and am considering them for my bar stools now. My main concern is whether these will hold up over time. The chair I have these on is a solid wrought iron chair and weighs about 20 pounds. I'm afraid the socks will wear out on the bottom fairly quickly as they do not have a felt pad under them. They are literally just a sock. The inside of the sock has little plastic or gel-like grips to help keep the socks from rotating and sliding off the chair leg, but I'm thinking they are not going to help keep the fabric of the sock from wearing out, especially on a very heavy chair that will be sliding back and forth many times during the day as this is a desk chair in constant use. You do get 2 sets of 4, so if 1 set lasts 6 months, I will get through a year with the 2 sets. For $15 (including tax), I would be fine with these getting me through a year and me having to buy new ones on a regular basis because I really do like the look of them. And $15/year is nothing compared to the price of having to re-do my hardwood floors yearly.

They fit the modern chairs that have very thin legs.
Work wonderful! Very good at protecting floors. Very good at decreasing noise, especially in poorly sound proof homes.

Works Great!!!
Earlier this year a bought a tray table for my living room. It had no protection on the legs, and having a hard wood floor I was fearful of scratching it. When I discovered these protective socks in the Xtra Small size, I took a chance. Very easy to install, and doesn't scratch the floor. They have been on for a few weeks now, and they haven't come loose at all. Very happy with this purchase.

Just what I was looking for!
These worked like magic for my dining chairs. I had been using felts for the chair legs but they kept coming off. The "sox" stay on. I have had them on chairs that are regularly used for over 6 weeks never had to reapply and they don't slide down. I measured and ordered correct size from suppliers chart. Highly recommend this product.
