Holds all day. Does not feel heavy during the day. The scent is a matter of preference, but I dig the scent. A light vanilla. I find the pomade applies to hair easier if my hair is a little damp, otherwise it's a little sticky. Just getting my hands wet over the sink and rubbing my wet hands through my hair a couple of times does the trick. Best of all, it rinses out very easily in the shower and does not leave my hair feeling dry. I do recommend this product. My only complaint is, as others have said, the can arrived with some dents in it. Fortunately for me my dents were not in places that would prevent the lid from closing tightly, but if it were I would have returned it. I got the large size so it will last a while and I wouldn't want to risk it drying out from a poor seal.
