As for the actually game, the story is fantastic and Ratchet and Clank never fail to impress. Also love how quick load times are and warping between worlds is seamless and a testament to the PS5s SSD. I’m only 3 hours in and having a complete “blast”! There are plenty of weapons and upgrade options and a lot of variety in the gameplay with tasks to do (e.g. diffusing bombs) and loads of side missions. Rift Apart has really got me back into my PS5, as the lack of titles recently meant I was going for my Switch more. Totally worth it if you have a PS5 and not played this yet. Will definitely keep me busy for a few weeks at least. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Amazing Return To Form and a True Next-Gen Experience *by T***Y on 18 June 2021* The £70 can seem pretty steep but I would say that if you are a long-standing fan of the franchise, such as myself, that this game is easily worth the price. I am going to be playing through this multiple times as well as playing through the entire series again. This is the first game I have played on my PS5 that feels truly next-gen. Aside from the visuals, the biggest reason for this is how the game utilises the DualSense controller. The haptic feedback reflects nearly all your action in game, whether it be walking or platforming or shooting. The varied tension of the trigger is also put to amazing use, allowing you to fire your weapons in different ways depending on how far down you're pushing the right trigger. The writing is not amazing in my opinion but it blows the 2016 Ratchet and Clank out of the water, which suffered due to being tied to the damn awful film that was released. The story is simplistic but effective in its own right. I can see some reviews stating that they think the game is repetitive and boring.
