I bought a Pyle tv from Amazon. The original antenna wire was small gauge and broke. I got this and I can sit in my truck at work and watch almost 30 over the air free channels. The tv does have a booster. People have a everything is WiFi mentality now. **Q: Will this work to get local stations?** A: Yes. My antenna brings in many local broadcast stations--more than 20. Most of the towers are around 15 miles away but the advertising says it can bring in channels for up to 50 miles. The picture is very good. **Q: does this help your WiFi signal to the tv? Will it stop it from buffering** A: No. It has nothing to do with WiFi. It is for over the air tv reception. Works very well for us. **Q: None of the answers about uhf and vhf make any sense! do you even speak english??? the only thing that matters is whether it receives uhf and vhf!** A: The answer that says ALL of the stations now operate on UHF is WRONG. For instance in the Cleveland area virtual channel 8 operates on the old VHF RF channel 8. Virtual channels 19 and 43 operate on the old VHF RF channel 10.
