Fits the bill perfectly
Quality seems good, the remote is heavy, buttons have a solid click. The included instructions are awful, and the receiver had two white wires for key 1 and 2. The instructions show white and yellow. I wired my 12v to my head unit 12v ACC, my head unit had an extra ground wire I used for this, and I wired each white to one of the 5v key lines.Programming it with my Pumpkin 5.1 Android head unit was a breeze and took all of 15 seconds. So far works greatThe only con I can really think of is that this can be universally mounted left or right side if the steering wheel if you want the wiring on the buttons to face up, note that since you can program the head unit to recognize it isn't a huge deal unless you are OCD like me. I'm going to try to fabricate a mount for my 2003 odyssey. So far I am very satisfied with this unitI am suprised that there are not more products in this category but for the low price i think this will fit the bill. I would buy it again if I needed another or recommend it to a friend

Works exactly as described once properly set up.
I was surprised when I read some of the negative feedback, but not enough to take advantage of something that works as good as many others said. And work it does. Setup initially took about 20 minutes, including pulling my stereo to connect the receiver wires, attaching the control (switches) to the steering wheel, and setting the button actions once the stereo was running. At first, it didn't seem very responsive and I thought I got a defective unit. After messing around for about 20 minutes, I decided to straighten out the antenna that I had bunched-up behind my stereo. The installation guide doesn't say much, but it does say to keep the antenna as straight as possible. I straightened it by wrapping it around the face of the head unit, just behind the car's plastic faceplate. After, it worked like an OEM steering control. Buttons are responsive and do what I programmed them to do. I wonder if some of the people that had issues with theirs actually had antenna problems.I also has some issues with the buttons not being responsive, but traced the problem to some applications on my Android car stereo. When the apps were closed, the buttons worked flawlessly. So check to see what's running if you have any issues. Currently it works great on my system with the stock radio, music player, any navigation app, and Winamp. As far as the quality/feel is concerned, the whole unit looks pretty good, the buttons have a soft, rubbery feel, and aren't as loud as I expected concerning some of the feedback I read. They also light-up when you first press them, making it easier to see what you're pressing in the dark. The switches (7 cm high) fit perfectly between my upper and lower right spokes on my Passat B6 steering wheel, so it blends in pretty good. My only complaint is the gold trim, but it's not exactly an eyesore or worth dropping a star for.

Perfect Solution for aftermarket radios.
Perfect Solution. Hooks into any radio with the two Key in wires. Some radios have Key1 and Key2 where others are Key+ / Key- or some other combination. The receiver must be powered and grounded which is easy enough to simply splice into radio power/ground. The two white wires are the "Key" wires. Really doesn't matter which white wire you hook to your radio's key in wires. Your radio head unit will need to be able to program the steering wheel controls. Most newer aftermarket radios will have this option, but be sure it does before ordering. The bracket is very sturdy and not distracting on my 2011 F-250. It fits perfectly in the steering wheel cavity at the 4 o'clock position.

Works great! Controls my Pioneer radios with a little extra work.
I decided in the end to give this five stars because although it took some doing it works GREAT! It would not interface directly to my Pioneer AVH-X4800BS or my Pioneer AVH-4200NEX since they to not have an SWC learning function that I could find. But I still wanted Steering Wheel Controls so I bought a PAC SWI-CP5 Steering Wheel Control adapter on Amazon and wired them together (USWC white wire to PAC white wire and then other USWC white wire to PAC white/black wire). I then trained the PAC in manual mode to recognize the USWC button presses. The PAC plugs right into the Pioneer radios. I have about 12 functions now (with short or long presses) right on my steering wheel.

Yes! Someone has a solution for aftermarket SWC! This is an excellent piece.
Excellent unit. Works exactly as promised. There's a replaceable battery in the transmitter (the part with the buttons that mounts on the steering wheel) and you can access it via a little drawer. The receiver is very small and flat, thus easy to mount inside your dash. I had this hooked up and working with my Joying stereo in a few minutes. Solid performance. No noticeable delay between button press and action on the stereo-- just like a factory steering wheel control would function. My only wish for this is that it came in a left or right hand option-- This one works on the left side of the wheel, but you have to mount it upside-down. Not a big deal if your head unit lets you map the keys (as mine did) but the graphics on the buttons will be 180 deg off.
