I now have two pairs of Bellas. This pair has a slightly different grip strip at the bottom of the shorts -- one line of silicone. The waist is slightly different too. The other pair came from REI and have a deeper band at the leg opening, I think with no silicone (don't have them with me). However, I love both pairs. I just started cycling distances and and the padding has really increased my comfort level. Based on reviews, I went for the Bellas right away and they do exactly what everyone says -- the padding is in the right places and doesn't shift around, the waist doesn't dig in or expose more than it should, the legs don't ride up, there is no diaper effect with padding that makes you waddle when you walk, and there is no "sausage leg." I didn't really know how horrific sausage leg was until I started trying on various bike shorts, so this latter quality is important. I'm a size 6-8 in dresses and the medium fit perfectly. Will all your sit bone soreness go away with these shorts? No. Will it be vastly minimized? Yes. Only been using them for about two months but the durability and quality seems very high.

The hands-down, most FABULOUS shorts ever. Quite a bit of padding, perfect for cycling long mileage but doesn't feel too "diaperish". The paneling makes for a comfortable fit, and stretches nicely even when I'm just starting the season and not at my optimum weight. The thigh grippers do not pinch, do not ride up, do not create "sausage legs". The waist is a looser fit than the legs and rides higher so your tunny isn't squashed in and no backside assets are exposed when cycling. Quite simply the best shorts I've ever had. Well worth the price (wash delicately and air dry to preserve them). I now have 4 pairs!!

This are great shorts for long rides. I like the large chamois. However, the price is very high.

Great shorts for road cycling. They are quite snug. I weigh 148 and bought a medium. I’d better not gain any weight or they won’t fit. Great padding.Update. I returned the M and bought a L. Much better. They fit really well and are adequately padded. For me, a little more padding would make them better, but they are pretty great as is

I ordered pink and got gray, but the shorts themselves are great!

I normally wear a size small, sometimes medium. The size S fit more like an XS. Definitely order a size up. Three weeks later and I am still waiting for my reimbursement on the returned item.

The Bella shorts are excellently made and the pad does not chafe, it's the right amount of padding and the fabric of the shorts is super comfortable. They are worth the money and one of my go-shorts.
