50 BMG Real Bullet Bottle Opener

I bought an authentic, hand-crafted bullet bottle opener a few years ago and even though I am a gun know-nothing, I loved it on sight. It's just interesting, and oddly beautiful, and satisfying to handle. I really do recommend them, as I've never grown tired of mine and it will never see the bottom of a junk drawer. I'm not saying that it's going to make you a hit at parties, because if a keychain is making you friends, you probably need new material, but people tend to enjoy using it.I was eager to see how this mass-produced model measured up to my original one. I'm not going to pretend I know anything about bullets, so let's just go straight to layman's terms. First of all, it is mint-condition shiny. My other bullet bottle opener was shiny when I got it too, but not that shiny. Being brass, my original bullet has tarnished (charmingly) over time. This bullet is much lighter-weight than my original. As another reviewer pointed out, it does not appear to be made of brass, but a different alloy. It's more cheaply made, overall.It works great as a bottle opener, and it's certainly solid enough for any bottle you're going to take a whack at. Great product, purchased as a gift, the receipted was very impressed, and really appreciated it. That day we took it with us to a firing range where several fellow retired police officers, and active police officers were making their yearly qualifications. After qualifications all where enjoying a beer, and all the other officers saw it and wanted to know where he purchased it. I explained, and I think most are going to purchase one, now I'm sorry that I just purchased one, because after I did see it, I knew I should of purchased a few more, and one for myself, in fact I just place an additional order for additional Bullet Bottle Openers.
