Or does customer supply cord and wire to line power?** A: It's supposed to be connected to electrical conduit, hardwired to a electrical circuit. I did use a cord for mine though, and plugged it into a nearby outlet. You can buy water tight cord fittings at most box stores. **Q: Is the lock mostly for show? I have found it pretty easy to circumvent by moving the latch slightly; the "instructions" mention nothing about this.** A: I looked again at a spare brand new one that was in my garage - with that lock properly installed I don't see you circumventing it without breaking something. That latch doesn't move if in the locked position. I wish there was a way to post a picture - basically there's a tapered section of the lock assemble that slides into the gray housing - then the latch lifts and swings over the catch on the door; when the lock mechanism is pushed down that door is solidly secured. Then locking it makes it so it can't lift or open. Like I said, if that's done right, the housing won't open without you breaking some plastic either on the door or the lock itself. **Q: Is there supposed to be something that covers the hole where the sprinkler wires go. It a big opening** A: They are accounting for a conduit.
