Review: Wide and bright on a FXDWG - This headlight is a great value for the price. I installed a Pathfinder h4 3000lm bulb 2 years ago. It was a major upgrade from the stock halogen. After riding with some friends that have newer bikes, I have a 2008 Dyna Wide Glide, I notice how bright and wide their led headlights were. After I got back home from the ride I set out to make some slight changes to be ready for the next ride. I considered the Daymaker but was hesitant to spend $399 for a headlight when I am not a big nighttime rider. So I set out to research led headlights and read a few reviews that put the Wisamic light in the top 10 usually coming in 6th. So off to desertcart to look it up. Of course it’s there and it’s a Prime item. Even better if I shipped it to an desertcart locker facility I can pick it up next day. Next day I picked up the light and went home to install it. Installation is a breeze. Unscrew retaining ring pull out headlight unplug it, plug in the Wisamic align the tabs and insert in headlamp, re-attach retaining ring and that’s it. I did need to adjust my headlamp for the right spot but once dialed in it is a great light. The beam is like an oval shape with great side to side coverage. High beam is noticeable and useful. Compared to the Pathfinder led bulb the Wisamic is a wider beam with better light coverage and definitely brighter. I added photos to show the difference between a bulb replacement vs a headlight replacement. I am now ready for the next trip and with the days getting shorter my riding time doesn’t need to.
Review: Mechanical drop in replacement for 2018 Triumph Speedmaster - In the Triumph forums I follow I saw mention that this light was a mechanical replacement for the stock headlight on the 2018 and newer Speedmasters where one metal tab had to be bent lightly. I bought this and found it fit just fine and couldn't figure out what tab might need bending. However, electrically I had to figure out which of the five wires that went to the stock headlight had to go to the three that this light used. That meant experimentation since I had no wiring diagram available for the motorcycle. Not hard, took a couple of hours being very careful not to damage anything. Also had to buy a three wire adapter for the stock cable that had to be cut off from the stock light and reused for this one. So, went night riding with the light. The low beam pattern is brighter and wider than stock. Also a bit uneven. Loved the brighter and wider pattern and at first was a bit concerned about the unevenness of the pattern. Now, after a couple hours of night riding I don't even see the unevenness any longer. The wider pattern at low beam, which I didn't know I was going to get, makes low speed turning easier to do, I had no idea that having light more to each side would be a plus. Lucky me! Clicking on the high bean does sort of smooth out a slight bit of the distant part of the low beam pattern. The high beam is also narrower than the stock light and that's a plus. The wider pattern the stock light had meant it illuminated distant road signs way too much and because of their retro-flectiveness they were way to bright for me, you could call it blinding. This light does not do that at all. So, tying it all together, I got a brighter light which is what I got it for, and I got different beam patterns that also make it a better light than stock. All good.

A: Nope. It doesn't fit. I have a shadow and the back of the unit won't even fit inside the assembly. It also has no mounting points, so you won't be able to hold it in there.

A lot of reviews show what the light looks like on a bike or the beam pointed at a wall 5 feet away and you just dont get a good sense of the beam pattern or how well it lights up in front of you. Which is what i wanted to know and just took a chance on. Fortunatly i was pleasantly surprised at how much this lights up. I dont have pics comparing stock to this light because my bike had a cheap led on it when i bought it. But i'm satisfied how much this lights up things in front of me while riding. When you get away from urban areas and overhead lighting it really becomes apparent how well this works. Its a nice bright white light. In the pics it looks like all the light is pushed further out in front of you but while riding i have no problems seeing things closer to the front tire either. Daytime riding, it also makes the bike more noticeable to people in front of you. It installed easily and i havent had any issues with overheating or condensation. No flickering. Its definitely a big improvement for very little money and i'd buy it again.
