Description

This hard bound notebook journal is covered with traditional African mud cloth. Hand woven in Mali, mud cloth is treated in baths of leaves and branches from trees to act as a mordant. Artisans hand-dye patterns onto the cloth using mud mixed with tea or water in order to share village stories and African proverbs. Pages are blank and made from 100% recycled Kraft paper. 120 pages (30 sheets signature bound). Due to the handcrafted nature of the mud cloth, patterns will vary and cannot be specified.
