Large and just the size I wanted, beautiful cream color and sturdy when it stands

I had planned to use this large Dynamic Collections 4” x 8” Ivory Pillar Candle as part of a dinner table center piece for an upcoming dinner party that I’m planning. I thought the neutral ivory color would look nice surrounded by the bright pastel colored flowers that are blooming everywhere now.The candle arrived with typical Amazon Prime speed. It comes wrapped in a thin plastic sleeve that surrounds the vertical sides to protect the wax from being scratched. There is also a round piece of the thin plastic sheet material that covers the top of the candle. Both pieces of the plastic sheet material are taped together.The candle measures 3 7/8” wide by just less than 7 1/2” tall. The information posted in the product description at the time of this writing for the 4 x 8 Pillar Candle says: “It measures 2 7/8"(diameter) and 6"(height)”The color is a uniform ivory color.Unfortunately the only protection provided for this candle was that thin plastic sheeting that was taped to the top and sides of the candle.The candle arrived covered with specks of dirt, and dust that had found it’s way under the thin plastic sheeting.The top and bottom rim edges of this large candle are so severely dented and “bruised” that it looks more like a thrift store donation item or scratch & dent bargain item than a “Quality” candle with a “sophisticated smooth finish” I cant see displaying this dirty, bumped and bruised, damaged candle as part of a dinner party table center piece.There are only four other reviews posted for this 4 x 8 Pillar Candle at this time. Three of those reviews submitted photos of the candle. Of those submitted review photos, two reviewers also show dents and bruises on the 4 x 8 Pillar Candles that they received.The size and neutral ivory color are nice, but I don’t think bumped, bruised and dirty items are “sophisticated” or “quality”I received a promotional discount on the purchase price of this item to evaluate it and give my honest unbiased opinion and review for other Amazon shoppers. When shopping for new products online, I rely on, and appreciate truthful and unbiased reviews from previous buyers. I hope my review will help other shoppers make better, and more informed decisions about their purchases.

This is a really nice sized candle. Right now I am just displaying it without lighting it because I want to use it more as a decoration, but I think it would last a really long time when I am ready to start lighting it. I like displaying big candles like this in large glass lantern holders. This looks really eye catching. Right now I am shopping for the perfect holder to display this candle. The color is really nice and neutral. It is a soft antique white which almost looks to have yellow tones to me. The wick extends from the top of the candle for about an inch so it will be easy to light with a regular match. One trick that I have heard about lighting candles is to put them in the freezer for a while before actually lighting them to prevent wax drips when the candle is burning. With a candle this large, I would likely put it in the freezer at least overnight before the first lighting. The size of the candle would help it make a striking display for a special party or event. I do not smell any fragrance or odor from this candle so I would label it as unscented. This candle would be beautiful for the holidays with some greenery surrounding the bottom of it. It is a very classic design and could be used for nearly any occasion or any theme or decor. I received a discount on this product in exchange for an honest review.
