I bought this travel mug as well as the Contigo Autoseal West Loop so I'll compare the two. The area where the boss failed a little is on the seal. I put water in the mug and shook and did get a small amount of leakage. I mean I was trying to make it leak so I think with normal use you would be fine. The areas where the boss was better is in appearance. It has a nice sleek look to it. Also, it keeps coffee hot for an insane amount of time. I tested it out for 6.5 hours and it was still really hot. The ad says 8 hours and I don't doubt it. I didn't just leave it for 6.5 hours either. I was taking periodic sips and when I finished it the coffee was still hot and tasted fresh. If it wouldn't have leaked that little bit I would have easily given it five stars.

This is a great, little - and I mean little - thermos. It looks good (sleek and, in deed, top shelf), is well made and kept my coffee hot (not just warm) for 12 hours. The flip top is spring activated and clicks shut tightly, with a nice, positive, click. There is even a slide lock, which prevents accidental opening of the top. But it is not necessary to lock it to keep it closed. The only downside -- well, really there are two, but they are related -- is that the thermos is small. Thus, (1) it only holds about a mug's worth of liquid and (2) it does not fit securely in either my car's cup holders or my bike's bottle holder. On the other hand, it fits nicely into the webbed pocket of my backpack. If only it came in a larger size.

A decent product for the price. The latch works well, but the placement makes it somewhat fiddly to drink from, and the pop up lid impairs your field of view. This is not a mug for the driver of the vehicle. It will however, keep your drink hot or cold for a decently long time, which is why I bought it, as my commute is very short, but at times, it is hours before I get a chance to get at my coffee. This mug has exceeded my expectations in that regard.

UPDATE:After using it maybe a dozen time it leaks a LOT from the top. Just outside of the return for amazon, I wouldn't recommend this mug to anyone.TLDR; great insulation, easy to use and clean, now my wife wants one.CleaningI'm not normally a fan on stainless steel as you need to wash it by hand but this is fairly easy to do so with a normal brush for dirty dishes (provided the brush is clean). The top pops into two pieces so you can very easily clean that as well which can be tricky.Hot or ColdI normally put 3 ice cubes in my cold brew to keep it where I want it for a few hours. By the end of the day the drink would surprise me by how cold it was and the ice cubes hadn't melted much.Good GripIt's a textured mettle and a comfortable size.Open the topOpening the top for a drink is a one button push that unlocks a spring to pop the cap 180 degree and out of the way. Simple push close when done.Drinking on a bumpy roadIt's pretty easy to use your mouth to make sure the drink wont go everywhere if say you're not in control of when the vehicle will break and gas lol. The mouth piece is small enough to completely cover when you want to. Coffee comes out at a decent rate though you wont be chugging it.

Smaller than I hoped it would be but once I used it I really liked it. Keeps everything hot hot hot for a long time. I use it almost everyday now and love it. The latch is beginning to lose its fluidity and sometimes catches but does work fine.

Hot stuff stayed hot! Bought a grande Starbucks coffee and loaded the boss up. Stayed hot until I finished it about 5 hours in the vessel. I like to put juice in it in the mornings and it stays cold till lunch. I have found dried coffee and juice on the notch of my nose from the lid. Not a big deal but I had a good laugh after figuring out the mug was responsible.

I bought this to use one-handed in the car for pouring hot water into my mate gourd. It works very well. It has the added advantage of fitting in any cupholder that will hold an aluminum soda can. It's tiny, the insulation is very thin, but it seems to work very well to keep water hot enough to brew mate. I tested it yesterday, and it kept the water hot enough for six hours.

I am very happy with my new travel thermos. I had a great cold thermos that I love but wanted something for coffee and this awesome and so easy to clean!
