Work in North Carolina BUT NOT South Carolina
THEY WORK AND DON'T WORK!Bought these for our trip to Florida but took them on an unexpected trip through the Carolinas. They worked in North Carolina but they didn't work in South Carolina. When we were in NC walking through a cemetery, the sun was setting and the mosquitoes began to swoop in. We pulled this pack out, placed one on either wrist and the mosquitoes disappeared entirely. It was like magic and we were totally sold. We brought the pack with us every day. Upon returning to our lodging facility, we placed the used bands back into the pouch. As the days wore on we would use the old one in conjunction with a new one. We never dealt with the NC pests again regardless of the rivertown that we were in.Then we went to SC and the mosquitoes came out in full force. These absolutely didn't work even though we had new bands on. There was no holding back the SC mosquitoes. We wore one on each wrist, one on the camera strap, and placed the used ones in our pockets. NOTHING WORKED. We ended up power walking all the blocks back to the car.In NC we were impressed but in SC we were totally disappointed and unprotected. We have ordered more of these bracelets because although they do not work 100% of the time, prevention is the only thing that can be done to ensure that the spread of Zika is somehow abated.IMPORTANT NOTE: We noticed that the mosquitoes in the North v. the South were different. In NC, the mosquitoes were entirely black. In SC the mosquitoes looked like the notorious Aedes aegypti species with the lighter/white lines on their joints and also gray in color opposed to the plain black. We are not scientists but I wrote a term paper on these mosquitoes and am fairly familiar with their appearance.Hope this information helps us all.

Qhiti and Repel - my armor against bugs!!
I never liked the idea of leaving DEET insect repellent on my skin for the same reasons mentioned by other reviewers, in addition to the fact that it ruins nail polish! So I gave Qhiti bracelets a try! I normally cannot go out to the garden, even for a minute, without getting bitten by something or other. But this bracelet really works, and the odor is not at all offensive. It has a lemony, minty, woodsy scent that I find rather pleasant, but thankfully the bugs don't. I also bought Repel Lemon Eucalyptus Spray, which makes the bracelets re-usable many times over. Out of the bag, each bracelet is supposed to last 7 days, but I noticed that the effectiveness does diminish after 2 or 3 days. What I do is I spray each bracelet with Repel before using it again, and it's as good as fresh out of the bag. I've had the bracelets for 3 weeks now, and I'm still on my first bracelet. Qhiti and Repel are a very good pair of products for me!

Pretty cool product!!!!! Worked great to keep the mosquitoes away!
I gotta say, this product surprised me. I read about lemon eucalyptus as the best natural alternative to DEET. This Qhiti product has 100% lemon eucalyptus vs what seem to be watered down versions in other products, so I decided to give it a try. The packet came quickly and I hung one band from my patio deck. I should say this stuff is STRONG - but it WORKED! Normally when we eat outside on the deck, by sunset the mosquitoes are out in force. I think the single band kept them away from us! The package says keep away from young children (we have two...) and we intend to since it is pretty intense stuff. But so far so good!!!!! Pretty cool!!

Finally found a band that works
After a long time, I think I found a mosquito repellent band that works. I recently ordered them just before my vacation and they work great. I haven't even used all of them yet. Resealable bag keeps the strong smell of these bands intact. So far it is working great.

They Work for a Day or Two
We used these mosquito repellent bracelets when we went camping in the mountains. Where we went camping ended up being densely forested and wet; therefore there were TONS of mosquitos and flies. Each of us wore two bracelets during our two and a half days of camping. The bracelets seemed to work amazingly, as we did not get any bites in the first day and a half. However, the second day of wearing the bracelets, we began getting bit. Each of us ended up with seven or eight bites on our arms, which is where the bracelets were. While I definitely believe they worked in the beginning, they certainly did not last as long as they claimed. We didn't get them wet, or dirty, so I am not quite sure why they stopped working. In the future, I would buy more bracelets and change them and or add a new one daily.

Truly effective!
These smell strong, but in a good way. They work SO well, stay on your wrist, and seemed to be fine after wearing in the ocean and the shower. They did not fit around my or my friend's ankles, which was really disappointing as we definitely don't have large ankles -- would have loved to wear on our ankles for hiking. We used these on a recent trip to southern Cuba, and placed our old ones in our bathroom which had many mosquitos and this seemed to work really well at repelling them even once we were done wearing them.

Wil definitely buy again, worked great
Will definitely buy again. Worked great for us in Mexico and Peru. I don't think they can really be used more than 2 or 3 times before you need a new one, but for the price I didn't really have an issue using a new one each day or every two days. Can't speak about how effective it would be in the rain, but it worked great hiking, walking, beach with sweat. (did not wear into water) I also bought a spray bottle of lemon eucalyptus natural repellent and used with it. When I thought the bracelets need a pick me up on day three, I would also spray them directly and let it soak in.

Works very well and nice smell!
Found the scent to be quite pleasant given its purpose. They are effective during my AM walks and my son wore one to go to camp this summer and did well with them there (I also gave him a non-deet spray), but for a day at the zoo, park, or amusement park, they are very effective. They are also great for babies who are too young to be able to use any type of but spray or lotion repellents because these can easily be tied to places on the stroller or back of the children where they cannot reach or touch it but where it is close enough to offer some protection, so I like them for that use as well if you are able to do that with your child or infant (some may be too active or industrious for this to work safely so they do not touch it).
