Great Quality and Versatility

Have 2 different amps with 2 totally different sounds I needed to switch between. This thin makes it so easy. Love it and can't believe I went so long without buying one.

Solid Versatility, Weird Labeling

This is a simple pedal that's made solid. Feels like it's built to last. Positive feedback switches click nicely. Lights give visual confirmation of which outputs are active. No signal loss evident. Ultimate versatility to use 9 volt plug or use battery. Love this pedal. So what's weird about it? Well, the "output a" jack is directly above the "output a" switch. That makes sense. But what's above the "output b" switch? The input jack. Take a look at the product photo and you'll see what I mean. It's a weird "brain scramble", especially if you're hooking up in a hurry. Still, this is a great pedal.

Wonderful!

I'm loving this. I use in it in two ways:1) I am able to route one output to an amplifier and the other into my guitar interface which connects to my computer. I don't enjoy recording with headphones so basically am using my amp to listen. I have maximum flexibility in regard to pedals. For example, if I want a tube screamer up front as I listen, I can run my guitar into the A/B, output #1 into the tube screamer and that into the amp. Output #2 can go into my interface which is a dry signal. If I wanted the tube screamer in both signals, then I simply do guitar to tube screamer to A/B box and then both signals have the pedal.2) I have multiple amplifiers and this allows me to play thru 2 amps at once. I just love the "wall of sound" by using 2 amps. Again, same flexibility as before. I can run pedals before the A/B box and both amps will get the signal from the pedals. Or, I can have each amp utilize different pedals by going guitar to A/B box with each output going to different pedals and then out to the Amps. All in all, this A/B box is great. Signal is pure and it just works.Hope this helps :)Jason

It works but needs a mini version

This does exactly what I want. Independent control of the output to two different amps (A & B). Personally I wish the pedal was much smaller. I don't use the 'thru' input at all, and the input/output jacks could've been put on the sides to make this pedal smaller. Finally, I wish it had a single footswitch instead of two, again to save space and make it simpler. For example, one press for both amps, one press for amp A, and one press for amp B. Rinse and repeat. I might end returning this and getting the new Jack White / MXR "Double Down" pedal, as that has even more control with separate gain knobs for both A and B....and a single footswitch to toggle through them all. The Double Down is half the size of the A/B Box and has more features.

solid

I really like this box. I play cello in a soft rock band and most of the time I can't hear myself when the other musicians get going. With this box I am able to pass my signal thru to a tuner so I can get a quick visual check of my intonation. The box has an A and B output (both switched) and a separate direct output (not switched). You can run any combination of the switched outputs. If you are hot and want to drop out of the house, you can hit the foot switch drop out. I have had to do that a couple of times when the band was silent. Once you could hear the switch "click" in the sound system and the other times you could not. It is built sturdy and battery life is fairly long. I've been running off a battery for over 10 hours with no issues yet. I cannot hear any noise introduced into the system...but that's me. Maybe someone else could hear some introduced noise.

Splitting works but makes my amp buzz.

Decent A/B for the money

Works pretty well once you remove all the ground loops your system may have. I had a horrible issue with chirping through my practice amp that I thought was a result of this A/B switch. It turns out it was a ground loop that was only showing it's head when I used two specific cables plus this box. Once I put a hum eliminator in place this worked like a champ no matter which cables I had connected.

Pedal chain finale to tuner, DI and Amp

Pedal chain finale to tuner, DI to my audio interface, and Amp. Works fine with no noticeable degradation. I should get another one for quickly switching between a guitar cord and my 1/4 in wireless thingges. The lights are bright! I like how the tuner gets to stay on all the time now
