I have used other beard balms before, but only one other beard WAX. Beard wax isn't something I've seen offered by many other beard care companies, and I have tried out several over the last couple of years. Balms are great, but lack that extra hold you want when styling. Thats where the WAX comes in... and this one nails it! it's easy to apply and doesn't take much. It also doesn't leave the hair too stiff or feeling greasy like other products can. It really has a great hold perfect for shaping and styling your beard. This wax also lasts all day and it washes out easily without damaging the hair! In fact, it softens the hair after. Its like the conditioning properties of a balm, with the holding strength of a pomade. The only things preventing me from giving this product 5 stars are; the scent and the label.The scent smells almost medicinal and at first it made me hesitant to try it. Luckily it doesn't linger once applied. But, this is a matter of personal preference and doesn't speak for the product as a whole.The label I had an issue with because the print is extremely small and its kind of blurred almost like the printer was out of alignment. This is a problem because Not all beard care products are to be used in the same manner as others, and I want to make sure I'm following the instructions properly so I can be sure it doesn't damage the hair, and also so I get the best affect from the product and can be certain it lives up to its potential. If the product isn't applied properly you can get a less than desired effect which might lead to a negative view of the company and/or their product when in fact it is YOUR fault it didn't live up to expectations.Its for those two minor reasons I took a star off.I received this product at a discount for review.

I have a mustache and goatee combo, not a full beard. I use this mostly on the mustache part but do apply some on the goatee part to keep those stray hairs in line and now shooting off to the side. When I used it, I was able to keep the sides of my mustache going out. I am in the beginning stages of my mustache so I t is not really long, but long enough that you can see that I am shaping it out like a real gentleman would. I applied a small amount and it held up and kept its form for the most part, all of the night. I did get a compliment on my mustache and then and there I knew I was onto something!! I think I used the correct pea sized amount or actually maybe a little less. I don't think it would take much to help my stache at the early stage I am in now. I have tried hair products on my stache before and never worked as well. I seem to end up using a lot and still does not shape exactly like I would want. This stuff seemed to do the trick for myself.I will continue to use this product as long as I continue to be a man, once the weight of manhood bears down so heavily on me, that I can not take it anymore and I shave it off. At this point I will offer this to a friend that is a manly gentleman, to help him live to his full potential as a man. I will then question my life and what I am doing with it. I will obviously fall into a stage of regret and self-doubt, I assume I will be crying more and my estrogen levels will be at its peak as my test levels plummet to an all time low, that of a toddler or infant. neither of which can grow a gentleman's mustache, let alone a beard. I will most likely lose my beautiful wife to a beard and mustached gentleman, which I will have to respect its greatness and the man that is wearing it. Wanting to avoid this tragic chain of events, will continue to use this product, grow my mustache to its full potential, which I am not even sure what that entails, but I know it will take me on adventures that I have yet to see and have me looking good whilst doing anything! When I pass nobody will ever say "he is in a better place now" as my mustache will have me climbing the ranks of the world and experiences everything in all corners. I wish I had realized how waxy this stuff is as i was expecting it to be like other beard conditioners. This one does not leave a greasy/oily residue but does not leave my beard feeling very soft and well conditioned like a non-wax conditioner. However, It does do a fantastic job at keeping my beard looking well groomed all day with minimal maintenance and it smells fantastic unlike other conditioners that I have tried. This product may appeal to other people, but it is not what i was looking for in a beard conditioner. This product does exactly what I feel it was designed to do so I am giving it 3 stars for function.I received this product at a discount in exchange for my unbiased review.
