At this price point, functional is equal to great
I bought this because I could use Prime to get it overnight for cheap while I waited for a long guitar cable (we were putting an amp for an electric guitar in a side room to cut down on stage noise at my church). The guitar cable and the wireless transmitter both came well before Sunday so I got to use this plugged into my Takamine acoustic, and it worked pretty well.As a few of the other reviews mentioned, the thing is super cheaply constructed (you can feel it in your hand) and if I were going to use it very long I would recommend at least replacing the cable for the transmitter. I also found that I had to turn my acoustic volume / gain down to 25% power (if I took it anywhere over that I started to get distortion in my signal).Great product for the price, although fair warning: I've only used it for a rehearsal, sound check, and then one Sunday morning performance (about 2.5 hours altogether) and I'm already pricing much more expensive options because I enjoyed being wireless so much.

Inexpensive and works well
I just received this today and have been playing my guitar through it all night without any problems. It works as well as my Nady which cost me about twice as much.It came with everything I needed - transmitter, receiver, batteries for both, and two mini-jack to 1/4" jack adapters. The transmitter has a power light, while the receiver has a power light and a signal light. The only cons I've noted are the cheap construction (what do you expect?) and the fact that you need to really secure the cable in the transmitter or else you'll get noise. I may wrap duct tape around it if it becomes an issue. If you've been holding off buying a wireless unit due to price, this would be a good bet. And if it saves you from tripping over guitar cables just once, it's worth the money right there.

Dont Judge a Book by its Price
I bought this for my son and thought that at this price if it didn't work no big deal. I have a high end Nady and I had purchased a low end Nady for him and it would cut out. When this came he was just as doubtful as I was. It looks cheap and has no external plug in. We had problems getting the batteries is right but when we got it going it was great. He has great sound and no dropped tone or cut outs. I think this is perfect for practice and as a beginning system. I just ordered one for my self to have at the house.

Audio Spectrum Wireless Guitar System
This unit works great for me. I have only tried system at home, but I can go from music room to kitchen without any interference or loss of sound quality through walls. System is a good buy.
