I have been using Optim Metabolic chocolate protein shake mix as a meal replacement before workouts or when I'm running late for work for just over a year now and just ordered my 3rd canister. I find it blends easily with a manual shaker and keeps me comfortably satisfied for several hours. It's my go-to breakfast before Zumba and HITT on Saturday mornings. My favorite way to drink it is to put it in the blender with 1 Tbsp of PB2 powdered peanut butter and a frozen banana, 10 ounces or so of water and ice cubes.

I was looking for something to replace Swanson's Vita-Lanne, a good tasting shake that kept me full until lunch. This has a funny, too sweet aftertaste, and also seemed to actually make me hungrier on the days that I used it. Onward to try some other meal replacement shakes. It also made me constipated the following day.

The taste isn't very good--I try to finish it as quickly as I can. I'm not sure if it's the fiber, but having it for lunch every day gave me some unpleasant bowel problems. The nutritional values are what I was looking for, so I'll give it a star for that. But I won't be buying this again.

Mixes well in a shaker bottle and has a good chocolate flavor. Has a good amount of protein per scoop of product. Most of the products that claim to give you more protein take considerably more scoops of product.

Definitely curbs appetite better than IdealShake however doesn't taste that good. It depends upon which is more important to you.

It some what controls hunger not the best but not the worst either. I like the fact you mix with water and not Milk.
