and sturdy. I'm 190lbs and stood on it
2/3 the price of the Toyota one, very slim, and sturdy. I'm 190lbs and stood on it, I wouldn't recommend it but I was surprised it did not bow much, basically it's not some cheap thin cover. So far it's water tight. Jus make sure the front lip is pulled out and over the front edge near the cabin. Easy to install and looks great!!!!

Nice Add On ... Some Concerns About Denting ... But It's A Good Design
It is ok. I like it. Except.... It came with a small dent in the top of the front panel....but after opening everything I decided not to try and send it back. I had seen "comparisons" on this one versus the fiberglass brand and their (the fiberglass) big selling point was "the aluminum dents, ours doesn't". However the fiberglass one was WAY more expensive. And I am prepared to see another dent if the windstorms around my place brings a big branch down. I was just a little surprised as gentle as I was ...opening it to see a small dent that "came from the factory".The fit was good. I saw a couple of spots up at the front (New 2017 Tacoma SR5 with extended cab, 5' bed) where water would come through so I made some rubber inserts and we will see if the tri-fold itself lets water in. I have not done that test yet and will amend this review with results. The install was not bad. They gave me inserts for my rails and that seemed to adapt to the pull downs fine. The instructions and warning labels stressed not "over tightening" the pull downs. OK. It says "finger tighten then tighten fully". Scary. "Tighten fully but don't over tighten" uh....and if you do not pull it down enough it might fly off the truck! Ok..I get it ....tighten fully. Given that it already came with a small dent ...now I did not want to be the one to "pull down" a dent! I think I got it but we will see :) Overall it is nice and I believe (so far) it is worth the money.

Good Fit, Easy Install
The install for this was a breeze on my Tacoma (6' bed). I was in a hurry trying to beat an incoming storm so I had to hustle. Laid out the cover over the entire bed and centered it, then folded it back up toward the cab. Removed my OEM latches from the track and slid the metal brackets into place, then lined them up with the front and rear fasteners on the cover, tightened them down, attached the safety harnesses, re-installed the OEM rail latches. The end. Simple install and perfect fit. I did not add the additional weatherproofing patches that were included, so I may take a little water. I'll go back and add them if needed. For what I paid, I think this was a steal. It appears to be very sturdy, which is a huge upgrade from the soft tonneau I previously had. That one was sliced by an errant nail in yard debris I took on a dump run, which rendered it basically useless. Can't speak to durability of this bad boy just yet, but I'm very pleased so far.

Satisfied with purchase
Sharp looking cover. Taking off a star because some water does get in following rain storms. Overall, I am satisfied with this purchase. Although the price is more expensive then other alternatives, it is a hard cover. Was easy to install, my 2018 Tacoma off road sport had existing rails which made the cover easy to install with the hardware provided.

Should have bought something else for the price
Good and solid, but make sure you put the locks away when folding or else it will dent the top and then your stuck with two dimples in your bed cover. Also at least on a 2016 5ft Tacoma it slides to one side and even when new did not completely seal the truck bed. Yes, I followed instructions, tightened but did not over tighten. Does it work? Mostly, do I feel my items will stay dry?.. no but I know it won’t be completely drenched. Would I buy this again? No. This review is 2 years of owning the product. From road trips to camping to range trips to sitting outside at airports.

Installs easily. Well built and rugged
Installed on 2018 Toyota Tacoma dual cab TRD 4x4.Installs easily. Well built and rugged.Only negative is that after installation, there is still a small gap at the front edge on the right and left side where you can see light coming in from the inside. Hopefully it will be watertigh enough.

Beware: Not Secure
Similar to a previous review - this is a fantastic cover until you realize that the lockdowns are definitely NOT secure enough for consistent daily use. Dealbreaker. This cover flew completely off my truck on the highway recently. Thankfully nobody behind me was hurt. It was installed 100% correctly, but over time the lockdowns must have slowly worked themselves loose enough to eventually allow air underneath, causing the entire bed to dangerously fly off while en rout to work. If you do buy this cover, please make sure to consistently check all securing lockdowns. I don't leave reviews often, but since this poor design presents a potential safety hazard I want to make my concerns known.
