A definite must read!
Watched the film before reading the book, which inspired me to actually read it. And it didn't disappoint. Gives a deeper (and obviously accurate) insight into the events that unfolded during Zodiac's reign of terror. It had me hooked page to page to the point where I was sad to put it down even to give my eyes a break. Not many books have had this affect on me.If you're fascinated by the mystery of the Zodiac or true thriller stories or simply loved the film, this book is a must read! Also includes a lot of visual evidence from many of the Zodiac cases (cryptographs, letters and envelopes, illustrated interpretations etc.) that bring the mystery and fear of the story to life

One man's journey into a heart of darkness
Zodiac by David Fincher is one of my favourite films, so I really wanted to read the book upon which it was based to see what details were missed out.The fact is, most of the film's story revolves around what police have ascertained as actual fact surrounding the maniac who terrorised young folk around Vallejo and Santa Rosa whilst leaving out both suspected other victims of Zodiac, as well as minute details regarding certain suspects, arguments at painting parties, booby-trapped film cans and other suspected victims. The book's a real page turner, un-put-downable, and constantly fascinating in its depiction of the murders and the ensuing investigation. If you're a fan of the film, or unsolved murder cases in general, then I can definitely recommend this book.

Great book, with lots of detail on the case!
I’ve always found cases of serial killers interesting (at the risk of sounding psychopathic), especially that of Zodiac, and I came across the film based on this book. I then decided to complete a school project on the Zodiac, and bought this book, and it was a massive help. If you’re looking to read a bit into the case, this is a great book to start with. Graysmith has compiled a compelling case in this book, and it’s a pretty easy read.

Very detailed and did not disappoint
This is an amazing book and I’m already addicted to reading it! Crime and detective stories really fascinate me, and after watching the Zodiac film I was desperate to read Robert’s book. I’m so glad I bought this because it’s very well written, and every scrap of evidence is included, making it very heavily detailed and interesting! It’s so interesting to feel like you’re really involved in the case, since all the real information is included such as every letter the Zodiac every wrote to police. I wish I could thank Robert for writing this so perfectly and in detail, it’s one of a kind. Some of the accounts of the murder are disturbing as you would expect, so I would only recommend this book to mature readers, since it’s all based on true events which are sad and gruesome. I’m looking at working with the police so this book has really helped me grasp an account of a big case, and puts into perspective how much evidence you have to deal with and what it’s like working as a detective.

A detailed account
This is a detailed account of the Zodiac case in chronological order and provides great insight into the mind of the type of person the Zodiac could be. Lots of pictures of the ciphers with explanations, and letters sent from the zodiac too. Also includes possible suspects in the case although they are under alias names - the real names can be found online as they do not seem to be under alias names in other media. Most of the evidence is circumstantial and it seems that no hard evidence has ever been found, but the write up of each suspect is compelling and leaves you wondering.
