Barkology Tommy the Toucan Hand Puppet

Small dog loves it. Durable enough to use everyday.

I've been combing the internet for a dog toy puppet ever since my previously favorite brand went out of business. Unfortunately, the search continues.This toy was not something that I left my dogs with all the time. It was only brought out a few times a week for short bouts of playtime. I understand that plush dog toys don't last forever, but for $20, I was hoping for more than 2 weeks of very light/occasional use before the seams and fabric started to fall apart/disintegrate. The padding was adequate, and my dogs loved it before it had to be thrown out, so I'll give it two stars.

It's very pretty to look at but isn't strong enough to last long playing with a puppy. The first day out of the package and 10 minutes of play, the squeaker stopped working. I was hoping for something sturdier.

Our Scottie loves this hand puppet. The squeaker is in the perfect place, the beak! Fantastic quality and love that the eyes are fabric and not something that can be chewed off.

Lasted less than a week. Gus ripped the fabric very easily. Plastic squeaky part doesnt stay in the beak.

My dog loves this puppet. I like it and enjoy playing with her. I would like the filling to be harder so I can't feel the biting.

We have two small dogs and this toy has held up against them so far! (Although, to be fair, they aren't particularly aggressive chewers). This toy was a HUGE hit with them though! They're super picky, so whenever I buy them a new style of toy, I never know whether they're going to love it or completely disregard it. This one was adored by them though. The fact that I could animate it as a hand puppet, made it unique compared to their other plush toys and they were running around the house shaking it even after they had long since pulled it off my hand.My only complaint is that the lining that the squeaker is in is very... "shifty"? The squeaker is always sliding around and it can be little difficult to find it and move it back into place where I can squeak it through the hand-puppet movement. Overall, definitely recommended though! Plus it reminds me to actually "play" with my dogs besides just tossing a toy and going back to working ;)

This was even better than I thought it would be. My dogs love it!
