I got one of these as it seemed to be a nice idea (love the solar powered part) and that it was small and compact, about 6" tall when closed and 9" when fully open. It was priced to move - deeply discounted for whatever reason.When I got it, I opened it up and was impressed with its simplicity and brightness. Lift up, it turns on. Push closed, it turns off. Brilliant! Put it out in the sun for a few hours and it's fully charged. I haven't tried to fully discharge it yet, but if I believe the specifications, it would take longer to discharge than to charge. It also gets points for being able to charge the built-in battery with a standard power cable, and if all else fails, AA batteries work. I haven't used the lantern to charge a device via USB, however I believe other products would handle that task more appropriately.I ended up loving it so much I ordered two more. By the time I did, there was only one color left (red) in a slightly different style, but essentially the same product. These are great for camping and for post-storm power outages. Happy I bought them.I wonder about their future performance over time - and time will tell. But so far I'm quite pleased.

Cute little lantern. Gives off a soft light, maybe not great for binge-reading a book in your camper. It isn't super bright, but does the job. Thus one star deduction. Love how it collapses inward and takes up very little space. Heavy old battery powered lanterns with D cell batteries .... no more! Plan to use this in our campsite on the table at night. I like the idea of having a night light so I can see that things are OK in camp. Hopefully Big Foot doesn't want one.

these are pretty, but cheapAF and not worth the money. I ordered two of them and one broke when i plugged it in to recharge. the other one still works

Hang these around the campsite or set them on a table. Nice for navigating around camp at night. Never installed batteries, but the AZ sun keeps them charged.

This light is very bright and seems to stay charged for a long time. Great for camping or emergency situations.

Has a bright candle glow but you can't see very far with it. Over all cut item

The USB port did not work but this lamp is super light & works well.

Nice strong light and I love that it is solar charged, the light lasted a long time. However, it's not a very good charger, don't try to use it to charge a phone, it didn't work well for that.
