Talon GPS Extended Battery Flat Pack for The SPY TEC, AMERICALOC, Nano 7, AMCREST, QUICLINK GL300 Series and Most Other Mini GPS Trackers

I'm using this with an Amcrest 4G tracker that usually gets 2 weeks of usage on its own battery. The Talon extended battery has a good design, as the flat pack allows for usage with larger trackers without making the case too large. The magnet also seems quite strong.I was, however, expecting to get much better performance out of the battery. So far, it has lasted 3 weeks, and is currently at 23%. However, it started yesterday at 52%, so there was a massive drop in just 1 day. I don't know if I can expect it to last 1 more day or 1 week. Even if it's the latter, 4 weeks of usage is far below what I was hoping for. For a battery that is at least 3 or 4 times the size of what's in the tracker, I really expected a good 2 months of usage.Finally, for what it is, it's quite expensive. I would have been satisfied with the price if I'd gotten the expected usage, but based on it's performance the price should be at least half.

When used as instructed seamlessly increases the battery life of the GPS unit. My unit is in standby mode most of the time (with weekly high-draw periods), and I am getting over a month of battery life. Worthwhile, though the orientation of the plug could be slightly different so as to allow for easier stacking of the GPS unit with the battery, but this is the most minor of quibbles, and is specific to my preferred mounting solution. Works well, highly recommend.

I bought this unit to extend the battery life of my GL300W as I tracked the movement in my 95 yr old Dad's car. Granted he lives in a rural area where mobile towers are sometimes weak and evidently sattelites are not prominent. The best battery life I can get is 11 days. I have been in contact with the reps from the gps and they have been trying to make adjustments to the device to retain battery. I live 3 hrs from the unit so can only charge it when I visit (which is every 1-2 weeks). There will be times when I won't be able to reliably track him. This unit will be more sucessful in a large city

Great case, good quality looking battery, but it only lasts one month on a charge.

Battery never worked. I charged the gps then charged the battery. Connected it to gps. Supposed to get up to 3 months of use from gps with this battery. I hardly got 3 weeks. By the time it takes to be sure the battery doesn’t work and get it off the truck that went cross country it’s too late to return. Don’t buy it.

Provides my GL300W with about 4 weeks of battery life well into freezing temperatures. Easy to use and solid construction. Couldn’t be happier.
