See photo, extremely poor quality build.
Light components may or may not be good. What is certain is the construction is of unacceptably low quality. The reason many of these lights fail is because of heat transfer between the LEDs and the casing. If the mating surfaces are not flat or have bumps from where they drilled, the heat doesn't transfer, the leds overheat, the light fails. Simple as that. This one is NOT flat AND has drilling bur, both which make the mating surface unacceptably terrible. In my photo, you'll see only about 25% of the area of the leds touches the heat sink EVEN with a thick layer of thermal grease. in between. We sanded it down with a DA sander to try to make it flat and still has high and low spots, now only touching about 50% with an hour's worth of work. You will have to sand a lot of the aluminum away to make it completely flat. The reason for not giving 1 star is that the light output looks good. The question is how long it will last ...***Update 11/3/16***Out of 3 lights ordered, all 3 had the same poor build quality. 1 had a row of leds burned out (or possibly put in backwards). Either way, Shows the poor quality of the lights. Most people won't notice if any leds are burned out because you can't stare directly into the light. I looked at them through welding goggles. See the newly attached photo to see the line of burned out leds

Use as Worklight on Stand--Great Replacement for Halogen--Good Output & Color Temperature
My 50W unit is used on a portable stand, which I scavanged from an existing portable halogen work light. It's great. It isn't totally cool to the touch but hardly the fire hazard of the unit it replaced. What I'm really hoping for is longevity, since 250W and 500W halogen light bulbs only seem to last about 10-20 hours for me, sometimes much less. With only 10 hours on this unit I obviously can't comment on longevity but I'm hopeful. I recall when CFLs came out and they were the rave because they used so little power. You'd buy one expecting reasonable cost savings in use to offset their high purchase price, and then the damn things would not infrequently fail prematurely. IDK if these SMD technology lights will be a repeat of that, or are inherently longer-lived...only time will tell I suppose. As for the light quality, it is superior to the halogen work light in that my 50W unit seems about as bright as the 2-250W bulbs it replaced, plus this is whiter which makes it better for seeing greasy parts, paint runs, etc. Finally, if I need to get a flood for permanent mounting outdoors, I'd definitely go with one of these of the appropriate wattage. Highly recommond.

Very bright, but quality control issues require modifications for any real durability.
Please note, this review is for the 50 watt version of this product. First, be prepared to do some work to make these have some real usefulness. One of the most common complaints with these lights is early failure due to poor heatsinking, and overall poor quality of assembly. When mine arrived, I immediately disassembled them, and of course I found that the LED modules were improperly installed. The heatsink compound was poorly applied, and the housing was not flat or smooth enough to provide good contact. I resolved this by cleaning off all the original heatsink compound and reinstalling the LED modules with high temperature epoxy. This will provide a solid connection to the housing and should keep temperatures under control. For those who think that LED lights "don't get hot", you're sadly mistaken. High-power LED lights (basically anything over 1 watt) require heatsinks to dissipate heat. Lights in the 50-100 watt range get very hot, just as hot as a 100 watt incandescent bulb (as you would expect, since they're dissipating the same amount of energy), and heatsinking is critical. If the LED modules get too hot, they will fail, plain and simple. Another complaint about these off-brand Chinese lights is that they tend to overstate the power, usually by around 100%, i.e., a 50 watt unit is actually 25, etc. I think regarding these, that is not the case, they certainly look like 50 watt units, very bright. Also, many of these cheap lights contain driver modules that are under-rated, another cause of early failure, but that was not the case with these, they actually contain 50 watt driver modules. Somewhat surprisingly, the ground wire was connected to the metal case, and the wire colors matched US standards. The brackets that are included are quite thin and flimsy, I think I will be making new ones at some point. (I purchased two of these to install on a work light stand that originally used incandescent units). If you use these outside, be aware that they will probably move around when the wind blows hard, which would be annoying for such a bright light. I deducted a star for the poor brackets, and a star for the poor assembly quality, so, three stars, because the price was right.

50 Watt at just under twenty is a deal
I have 20w and 30w of similar style (see picture). I found I needed a brighter light to see details of projects I work on. This 50 watt is larger in scale and as such it floods/illuminates a broader area better. It’s waterproof for outdoor use. Comes with a “U” shape mounting bar/yoke and a short (raw, no plug) cord only electrical lead, so you’ll need to add cord, an inline switch and a plug to use as a mobile work light.Mount on a telescoping tripod style light stand to brighten projects or photography shots as the color temperature isn’t bad and can be dialed in with a white card color balance on your camera. For the price of just under twenty, I’d definitely buy again..

Great light, more like 6000K temp, tons of bang for the buck
I like the light, used it to replace a 500W halogen fixture on top of a folding tripod stand. It works great even after having accidentally been left out in the rain one night it wasn't supposed to rain, so happy with its durability. the 50W isn't quite as bright as the 500W halogen, 100W would have been a better choice but this was really an experiment to see how an LED replacement would work.My one complaint, it's a bit cooler color temp than I wanted, closer to 6000k than 5000k, which isn't enough of a problem to dock it a star especially in view of how inexpensive the unit is.Conclusion: Lots of bang for the buck, Great light output probably in range of a 300W halogen, it just leans to the tiny bit blue/cool side of white vs yellow/warm

Over all very good for the price
Over all very good for the price, There are some minor assembly quality problems if you inspect it closely but nothing serious in my inspection. I would not expect it to last as long as a much more expensive LED light however it costs only a fraction of the price of the local alternatives.

More than enough light
I bought this along with a wifi plug for front yard. Hooked it up wirh google home so that when I say 'hey google. Turn on yard light'...Bingo.Bright and beautiful. Only issue. The mount doesnt work for off the ground installation.

Poor design
Flimsy mounting bracket. Light is prone to internal water damage from rain or humidity if used outdoors due to poor seal design
