The Modern Equipment Catalog Paperback – December 12, 2009

This book is so specialized that it is hard to imagine many players of the Basic Roleplaying System will find it useful. It contains detailed information on backpacks, tents (yes you read that right), boots (again, not joking), and dozens of other pieces of "tactical gear" that most players will simply write down on a character sheet once and forget... because no matter what it's called, a backpack, a pair of boots and a tent have the same use in most people's games. They will be written on a character sheet like this; "Tent, Combat Boots, Backpack." Over 200 pages describing this stuff? Come on.This would all be forgivable, perhaps even interesting if the book featured weapons... any weapons... I mean *at all.* Sadly, you will *not* find any modern firearms or infantry weapons. Anyone this detail oriented needs to consider what 99% of players and Keepers are going to be looking for in a modern tactical supplement like this. Super disappointing product.
