Is this a permanent solution"** A: The plastic gets weaker over time, either way it is nothing like a permanent stitch. Snag it and it will break easily . **Q: Could this gun accept 1, 1.5, 2 or 3 inch fasteners as well? Meaning could it also be used as a standard tagging gun?** A: No. This one only is for the micro stitch tags. For the larger ones, you can use the regular Avery tag gun. **Q: Can this tool be used to attach tabs (loops) onto no-see-um mosquito netting to pass 3/32" or 1/16" stretch cord through for suspension?** A: My knowledge of mosquito netting is near zero but I suspect that the weight and resultant loads on each fastener is small. These fasteners have a typical strength of 0.75/1.25 lbs.
