*** The Ultimate Cat Food ***
BEFORE HI-TOR NEOMy Callie, who is hopefully turning 16 later this year, has had plops or runny puddles for poop for the last 8 years, is now pre-CRF, had a UTI in February, was sleeping too much, drinking too much water, and urinating all day long. I had to clean the cat box daily, and dump the litter and completely clean the box once a week, because some of her runny poop ended up on the high walls or even top of the walls. When she pooped, the foul smell permeated every corner of my 1,500 sqf. home. There was no escape from the smell!! She’s had it rough and the Hill’s and Royal Canin stuff was not too appealing to her, and for almost 10 years, I’ve fed her some variety of Blue Buffalo kibble, including grain-free in the last 3 years. She ate some of it (Hill’s/Royal Canin), but she mostly wasn’t interested. If we fed her any canned food, she only licked the juice, and ended up with runny stools that had her retching within 10 minutes at least 3 times a week. I was constantly cleaning up some form of vomit (bile, bile with food, tiny foam, etc.) and accidents around the cat box. I did some research and discovered Hi-Tor Neo; I made the purchase.AFTER HI-TOR NEOI just can’t believe it! I don’t think I have ever been thrilled about seeing poop as I have been in the last few days. Every time I get home, I am excited to see how she did during the day, and to see whole and segmented stools was an unexpected blessing. This is miracle food. I only wish I knew about this many years ago! Not only has her pooping improved, she is not urinating as much and is hardly touching her water. She has more energy, is more vocal, and when I have been home when she did a number 2, there was no foul odor. If there was a smell, it stayed in the bathroom and you had to be on top of the cat box to smell it. Lastly, she eats 98% of the can!!! She doesn’t just lick at it, but EATS the food and happily! What a difference!!! So, I am hoping I found this food just in the nick of time. She goes in for a check-up next Monday and I hope it’s mostly good news. I’m really concerned about her kidneys as I know this means her time is limited to anywhere from 6 months to 5 years from what I am reading. I feel this food will help give her the best quality of life and extension of life as possible. I have been feeding her Blue Buffalo for many years, thinking that was as good as it was going to get. Clearly, that was in error. While she did better on it as opposed to the very cheap kibble you can find at any store, it still did not correct all the issues she was having. I HIGHLY recommend this food for anyone that has a cat with IBS or potential/actual renal complications. THANK YOU SO MUCH for creating this formula. It’s so great to have my Callie back!SEPTEMBER 2016 UPDATE: I am still ordering this for her at a rate of 2, 24-pack cases a month. She is still active, vocal, having normal bowel movements, normal trips to the water dish, and she seems to be happier. Her weight hasn't changed, she doesn't have any negative reactions, and according to her August check-up, her heart and lungs are normal. Thanks!

Don't know if it was a bad batch, or just didn't agree with my cat
Tried this product twice. Both times it gave my cat severe diarrhea for a day. Tossed the rest of it. Don't know if it was a bad batch, or just didn't agree with my cat. Both times I started give it to him in small doses and increased to the whole can over 4 days. Didn't work.

Just what the veterinarian ordered
Cheaper alternative to the doctor-recommended KD diet. And my finicky cat LOVES it. Helping him to keep eating, without doing further damage to his kidneys. He's used to eating a tiny can of Fancy Feast every night, so to better support his kidneys, he gets a half can of this in the morning, and a half can of this mixed with some Fancy Feast at night. He loves it. I can also mix in a bit of water and miralax without any issue, and he'll slurp it up like a thin gravy or stew. Came with a full case of 24 cans, as advertised. Will be ordering this again. :)

Ingredients
The Ingredient list is as follows -Water sufficient for Processing, Meat By-Products, Chicken, Beef, Liver, Ocean Fish, Rice Flour, Guar Gum, Calcium Carbonate, Carrageenan, Locust Bean Gum, Potassium Citrate, Brewers Dried Yeast, Vegetable Oil, Iron Oxide, Taurine, Vitamin E Supplement, Choline Chloride, Zinc Oxide, Thiamine Mononitrate, Ferrous Sulfate, Niacinamide, d-Calcium Pantothenate, Copper Sulfate, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Riboflavin Supplement, Folic Acid, Manganous Oxide, Vitamin A Acetate, Biotin, D-Activated Animal Sterol (Source of Vitamin D3), Vitamin B12 Supplement".It is unfortunate that this has meat by-products as the largest portion of the protein it contains. I do not doubt the value of fresh caught prey's "innards", but I do doubt the quality of what any cat food company is using, when they list it as "by-products". However...this food does have the pluses of being an available, non-prescription food, one that is not only lower in protein and phosphorus, but one which per a support list I was on for owners of CRF kitties, extremely popular with some cats.

Best value, and my cat loved it.
My cat was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease when he was 14. Not long after, I began trying different brands of low protein food. This was the only one that not only seemed consistently easy on his system, but also the one he enjoyed the most. The price point was better than most as well. I recommend mixing in 100% pure pureed pumpkin with it to help with the digestive system. This combination helped his stools to be as consistent as possible. He lived another five years on this food until the ripe old age of 19.

kitty likes it and is cheaper than prescription ARF CRF food while beig just as high a quality of food
I use this for my ARF rescue kitty, he likes it and it is less expensive than the prescription diets the vet will suggest for ARF and CRF kitties. I did a lot of research and googling to find what food was best for my ARF kitty and H-Tor Neo Diet came out on top as the best choice.

Cat loves it!
This food has been great for my cat who was in early stage renal failure. She's been on it almost two years now and has no signs of renal failure anymore. She is almost 18 years old and has gained some weight back on this diet.
