It is composed of a sustainably sourced live edge slab of Kentucky Coffee Tree that has been caustically distressed. The distressing technique allows the grains to still show through and also radiates a beautiful purple tone from the wood. It is placed on 2 custom fabricated steel bases painted in gloss white for a dramatic pop of color and juxtaposition. The wood has been planed flat, sanded smooth and meticulously finished in a moisture and scratch resistant wood varnish.
