Tasty but high in sodium
Very tasty, too much sodium content. Good with sliced mushrooms or an egg dropped into soup. Because of salt content don’t eat too often.

Creamy spicy goodness
This is the best of the Shin ramen and probably all of the packaged ramens. Creamy slightly spicy.

Alright
This is alright by US standards but the actual Korean version has better flavor. Expensive here too can get it for 1200won (less than a dollar) a package in S.Korea.

Amazing, restaurant quality instant ramen
Absolutely the best ramen I've ever had from a bag, bowl, or otherwise; the only ramen that can even compare is ramen I've had from local joints here in the LA area, but I feel this is just as good, at only a fraction of the price. I originally thought it was a bit expensive, at $16.90 for a 10 pack, but for $1.69 for a bowl of restaurant quality ramen, it's a superb deal. I prepared it using the microwave method with a microwaveable pyrex bowl and poured it into a normal bowl I have for large soups (this prepares a LOT of ramen, so get a big bowl!) and chopped some medium boiled eggs into it. The broth is the real star of the show here, a nice, hearty meal that really helped with some cold symptoms I've been fighting recently, and the noodles are thick and filling, just like those from a restaurant. There aren't too many freeze-dried vegetables in there, but I found the mushrooms and scallions to taste good, the ones that were included. Fresh mushrooms/scallions would be good to add in the future, I imagine, as well as slices of beef. Very, very worth the money; I went ahead and bought another ten pack while they're still at a relatively low price! Easily the king of instant ramen soups, of all the ones I've had, and, while regular Shin is great, this is just on another level. It's not AS spicy, for those expecting some extra spice; you might need to use a bit less water for that, but then the noodles might not cook properly.

Its OK
I tried the black version and had no idea what to expect. there are bigger chunks of vegetables which is nice but the broth is milder. i've only tried it one so I'm sure that after getting used to it I'd notice the "conplex flavors" other reviewers talked about. i prefer the regular ramyun but can eat this one in a pinch. i usually add kimchi, eggs, and kim (roasted seaweed) to mine but did none of that while trying out the new flavor of this one. there was also another taste i could not place.anyway i just read about the sodium and msg content of most ramyuns and it's shocking. my korean mother told me not to drink the soup. SO to offset the high additive content I just dont drink the soup! How much of the soup do you really eat when you only eat the noodles anyway? I like the noodles to have more flavor and dont need a lot of soup so I use a bit less water when cooking. I drink a full glass of water after or while eating. After that I feel like I havent injested quite so much of the bad stuff. This method is fine for me until they change the content.

Best noodles
As I have had a sinus infection it seems forever I have been eating these noodles it seems more then once a week. Who knew that from a package of noodles you would get such great flavor. As I eat only eat one meal a day (health reason) I have two of the packages and I am very satisfied. The spice helps so much with my sinus infection. No meds seem to help more than a cup of these noodles. They are not too spicy where you can’t eat them but certainly spicy enough that I have a water next to me when eating lol. I can eat a long hot pepper without any issue and these noodles are spicier than the pepper. I just don’t like food when the spice is too hot to enjoy the flavor. They noodles always come perfect not crushed or opened. They will remain a constant in our pantry as my son loves them as well. It is perfect for a quick meal when to tired to cook and tired of ordering out and spending $100 or more for a meal for 3. These truly are the best brand and the only place I have been able to source them with no issues. I have rarely written a review a handful at best but I love these oodles so much I felt compelled lol.

Good
Tastes great. I used one spicy packet shared between two bowls. That was hot enough for my white ass. Not sure it's really worth the price compared to regular ramen in the store. Maybe I'm just not enough of an afficianado to appreciate the extra expense. Growing up, eating ramen generally only happened when the budget was tight. It's hard to reconcile that mentality with spending so much on dry noodles and spice.
