Make Your Shoes Feel Like Flip-Flops Made with sustainably harvested natural cork. Cork molds to the shape of your foot over time. It's the key to preventing bacteria and fungus from building up in your shoes. Honey Soles gives you the arch support and breathability you need for your favorite adventures, with or without socks. Naturally Anti-bacterial & Wicks Away Sweat Cork is an amazing material with a honeycomb cell structure that contains a waxy substance called suberin. Suberin naturally repels fungus and bacteria. The cork wicks sweat away from the feet, while the open-cell foam absorbs any vapor inside the shoe, preventing odor. Easy to Use It's simple: Honey Soles are inserted into the shoe, replacing your current shoe insoles. Honey Soles fit best in footwear with removable insoles. Arch Support Honey Soles are engineered to help with things like posture, alignment and over-pronation, which is the leading cause of plantar fasciitis. Shock Absorbing Honey Soles are durable and shock absorbing. Our proprietary foams help to disperse harmful vibrations that are commonly experienced when walking on hard surfaces. Sustainability: Thoughtful Design, Materials & Process We're using friendly materials, including recycled rubber foam and sustainably harvested natural cork. We tracked the origins of our materials and found a manufacturer with integrity. About the Startup Describe your product in 3 words. Fresh. Style. Comfort. How did you come up with the idea for this product? We frequently wear our shoes without socks, and were getting frustrated with the excessive sweating, smelly feet and shoes that were literally falling apart. We researched the insole market, but the best insoles we could find were washable fabric inserts that absorb sweat like a sponge and required frequent washing. There were powders and sprays that eliminated odor, but required frequent use. Plus, none of these offered much in the way of arch support, so at the end of a day of walking around New York, our feet still ached. After understanding the problems first hand, we got to work and after months of testing different materials and prototyping designs, Honey Soles was born. What makes your product special? Honey Soles transforms your shoes to make them feel like a pair of flip-flops. It's a new standard for comfort. What has been the best part of your startup experience? Seeing people light up when they try on Honey Soles for the first time.

Cork is way too thin...
I was excited to use these in my boat shoes for added arch support. The cork is way too thin though it appears to be different than the cork shown in photos, much thinner and less stiff. After about 30 minutes my feet were sticking to them and felt sweaty the rest of the day. Wearing socks it's probably OK but I wanted to go sockless. They are plush and have good support which is great but the mark was missed with the moisture wicking factor.

Bad sizing
Sizing is completely inaccurate. Ordered the size recommended with my size being at the top end (size 13). However, the arch is about 1 to 2 inches behind where it should be for a size 13 foot, so it is unwearable. Will be returning. Debating whether to try the next size up, but afraid arch placement will not be any different. Even at the lowest size foot within the range, I doubt the arch would still be properly located.

Very comfortable
I needed insoles that had a lower profile than the ones I put into my sneakers. I had a hard time wearing most flats because of lack of arch support. I thought these might be good because cork is such a pliable material. They fit well into my low-profile flats (I took out the insoles that came with the shoes). I had to cut them just a little around the toe to fit well-- I used the old insoles as a guide. They fit well and I can tell they are molding more and more to my feet as I wear them. There isn't a ton of arch support but enough for me to enjoy these dressy flats out for dinner-- I am not sure I would wear them for hours walking around a city, but I would probably wear my sneakers for that anyway.

Honey Soles are ok but can stick to sweaty feet
Kudos to Honey Soles for making replacement soles that let me go sock free.EDIT: Unfortunately when feet are sweaty, the cork gets tacky and can stick to toes when removing my shoes. It's worsened as they've gotten older, as the sweat tackiness has too often caused the tips of the soles to be pulled away from the shoe when I remove my feet. I have to use fingers to stuff the tip of the sole back in the shoe.Incidentally, I discovered the 'Un-Structured' line of shoes (made by a company name that begins with 'C') with the most awesome removable soles. No smell and they don't get tacky when your feet sweat. I have a handful of pairs and although the original pair is ready to be thrown out, the soles are still usable. The line is still available.. but of course you must buy the shoes with them.

No matter the shoe
From my boat shoes to my tennis shoes, my Honey Soles have not disappointed. I have very sweaty feet and so far these have lived up. I do live in Texas and summer hasn't started yet so we will see if they are as tuff as a Texas summer.

... spend a lot of money trying to find the perfect set of insoles
I spend a lot of money trying to find the perfect set of insoles.I'm glad I found these. The Investment is worth it. These soles turn any pair of shoes into ones I can wear all day. FINALLY!!note: This review is WITH socks. I have not worn these insoles without socks on a habitual basis.

Perfect for Sperry Topsiders
These are great. I have them in my Sperry Topsiders and they make sockless wear MUCH more comfortable. And I am a guy who has never been comfortable wearing any kind of shoes without socks.

They are okay but not worth the extra money for me. They have medium arch support and not for high arches.
