Works but not high quality (unbiased review)
This works well for us. It has a small footprint, has lots of drying space, and is flexible in that you can fold down shelves that might be in the way for hanging larger items. The shelves are more widely spaced than with our old one, which I think helps air circulation and speeds drying. It's not high quality: the mechanism for folding down the shelves is a little stiff and fussy, and the whole thing is a little wobbly. It would benefit greatly from some diagonal bracing, and I may add some. But I think it will hold up OK, particularly given that the tubes are stainless steel.Assembly was pretty straightforward. The instructions don't clearly show details like which orientation the pieces go in, but all the parts are in bags clearly labeled with letters that you can match up to the diagram on the instructions, so figuring out what goes where was easy. Some people mention using a mallet to get the tubes in, but I found that placing one plastic piece on the floor and pressing down on the one at the opposite end could seat the tubes quite nicely, using body weight to apply force. Some of the tubes weren't quite straight, but none so bad that it was hard to get them in or that you'd notice with it assembled. Some of the hardware has been downgraded since the pictures were taken and the instructions created--the pivots for the shelves used to be smooth surfaces, but now they are threaded surfaces. That's not a serious problem, but it is an example that shows you that they are trying to make it cheaper, not trying to make it better. It came with two bags of plastic clothes pins, but they are complete junk. If you open them all the way, the spring pops off, or they break. So you need to gently open them just far enough to get around the bar. They are not worth bothering with.I paid for it and was not given any incentive to review it.

Poorly made product with largely fake reviews
Amazon really needs to find a way to filter out all the sponsored reviews. I purchased this product based on the capacity and the high rating. Had I not been in a hurry the day I ordered a drying rack, I would have had time to read the reviews and see how many of them are compensated reviews, which can rarely be trusted. As for this product, the instructions included to assemble this product are horrendous. There are nothing but poorly labeled pictures. The pictures of the product included in the instructions are not the same as the product in the box. While similar, the pieces illustrated are not the same. Worst of all, the hardware to assemble this rack is not the same as the hardware in the instructions. The assembly, once I had it figured out was not a smooth one. Several of the pieces were a little too small or the spacing was a little too wide. Worst of all, there were four screws that were supposed to hold the bottom metal frame rails into the plastic base pieces, to my knowledge, these screws did absolutely nothing, as the frame rails were not perforated to hold the screws, nor did the holes in the plastic frame go all the way through. It was largely a confusing and long process. The mismatched drawings and pieces lead me to believe that this rack was designed one way and then produced differently in order to be cheaper, with lower quality materials.I did get the rack put together eventually. On the assembled rack, the 'wings,' as I call them (the shelves), don't fully tighten into the frame, so they move. If I were to put a large, heavy, wet garment on them I'm afraid they would collapse. The plastic hanger racks on the top aren't all that stable. I highly doubt they would hold as many wet pieces of clothing on hangers as it is designed for. The whole frame seems rickety and ready to fall apart.Do not buy this. As far as I can tell, all the good reviews are from people that received this product for free.UPDATE 10/15/2016: I forgot to mention that the box includes two packages of clothespins designed to work with the rack. They are awful. More than half of them just snap and fall apart the second you try to use them. I can't believe I paid $50 for this piece of junk.

I really like this product and was a bit on the fence ...
I don't recall, that I ever wrote reviews ... but I tend to use other people reviews all the time for my purchasing decisions. I really like this product and was a bit on the fence buying this item because of the mixed reviews on the assembly ... so here are my 5 cents:I have purchased this drying rack for ~$50 including free shipping. In my opinion, this is a very competitive price for a great useful item with decent quality. It has stainless tubes of slightly different length and size for the hanging rods and the connecting support frame structure. These tubes can be installed by inserting them in the recessed tight slip fit holes in the various little plastic blocks (without the use of any tools). Between having watched the detailed youtube video demonstrating assembly (named within the product description) as well as the included assembly leaflet that came with the box, I had no problem assembling this rack within 15 to 20 minutes. The different tubes and building blocks are CLEARLY labeled and as long as one does not rip the various separate bags all open and trash at the same time and loose the labeling, I just don't see, why people had to sent it back because they could not put it together. If you can "paint by numbers" and have just the minimum skill set of putting a nut on the right end of the bolt anybody should be able to put this together within 30 minutes including extended breaks! If that rack came partially assembled in the box, it be pretty bulky, cost more than free shipping and would very likely suffer some shipping damage because of the fact of shipping a large hollow box. For me personally, it was worth putting this rack together because, I feel a got a good quality item at a very reasonable cost.I ordered a set of "Clothes Pins Premium Jumbo Heavy-Duty Soft-Touch Pegs" sold at Amazon for $33 for 24 pins. That just shows, how affordable the rack was ... so I consider these pins pricey but they match the design and quality of the rack perfectly.
