The techniques of the original Russian art of lacquer miniature painting have been passed down to us through countless generations of craftsmen, and have not changed since the XVIII century. Traditionally, artists follow several themes in their work, which vary from peasant life to circle dances, from troikas to great battles, and from fairy-tales to heroic epics.
