Purchased for a trip to Florida Keys, to surprise wife with specialty coffee from a roaster I brought to make in an AeroPress. I needed a way to heat the water. Our first morning I used the immersion heater, and the first cup heated perfectly. When I started the second cup, the heater did not work. I attempted a few more times, making sure the element was covered by water as per the instructions, still did not work. What a great disappointment, with no other way to heat water where we were staying. Do not buy, waste of money. It will cost more to ship it back for a refund.

OK, I tried it despite what I read. It really does just pour through. Unless there's a gasket included somewhere that I am unaware of, this product is officially useless to me. I tried both filters a couple of times and it wound up in wasted coffee and a poor pour experience. This borders on heresy. If anyone knows of a fix, I'd love to try it.
