Review: Hard to Beat!! - I’ve owned NHT speakers for 20 years now. Been through several upgrades and this is my 3rd Center Channel speaker. It is by far the best of all. Research found it rated to be one of the top ten centers. The larger 6” woofers combined with the fact this is actually a 3-way speaker (instead of only 2-way like many others) make for a really prominent sound stage. If you know how important a good center speaker is to a surround system, you won’t be disappointed. I will add that I was really pleased to find this available on desertcart. It was sold out (even on NHT Home Site) and desertcart price was about $100 less than any other vendor. This is a beautiful speaker with great performance at a reasonable price Review: Is a well build speaker - This speaker sound good, it’s great in music and beyond my expectation in many ways. ## Features - With excellent dispersion and detail typically found only in the most expensive designs, the C-3's bookshelf design provides a wide soundstage for its size. - Compact bookshelf cabinet construction houses a high-efficiency 6.5-inch aluminum cone woofer, 2-inch aluminum dome midrange, and 1-inch aluminum dome tweeter. - Bass response down to 40Hz makes subwoofers optional. Impedance: 6 ohms nominal, 4 ohms min. - Combine with other NHT C-Series components for an audiophile grade system for home theater. - Improving on earlier NHT designs, the C-3 is sturdier and more serviceable.Sensitivity:87dB (2.83v@1m) ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B019PZ96RS | | Additional Features | high efficiency | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Antenna Location | for surround sound systems | | Audio Driver Size | 6.5 Inches | | Audio Driver Type | Dynamic Driver | | Audio Output Mode | Stereo | | Audio output mode | Stereo | | Battery Average Life | 1 Hours | | Best Sellers Rank | #122,967 in Electronics ( See Top 100 in Electronics ) #463 in Coaxial Car Speakers | | Brand | NHT | | Built-In Media | NHT C-3 Bookshelf Speaker | | Color | Black | | Compatible Devices | Desktop, Laptop, MP3 Player, Projector, Smartphone, Tablet, Television | | Compatible with Vehicle Type | Car | | Connectivity Protocol | Bluetooth | | Connectivity Technology | Wired | | Connectivity technology | Wired | | Control Method | Remote | | Controller Type | Corded Electric | | Customer Package Type | Standard Packaging | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 98 Reviews | | Enclosure Material | Aluminum | | Frequency Response | 40 Hz | | Frequency response | 40 Hz | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00898349001563 | | Impedance | 6 Ohms | | Is Waterproof | FALSE | | Item Dimensions D x W x H | 25.7D x 19.1W x 34.9H centimeters | | Item Weight | 7.26 kg | | MP3 player | No | | Manufacturer | NHT Audio | | Model Name | NHT C-3 | | Model Number | N-C 3 Black | | Mounting Type | Shelf Mount | | Mounting type | Shelf Mount | | Number Of Circuits | 3 | | Number of Audio Channels | 5.1 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Power Source | Corded Electric | | Series Number | 3 | | Signal-to-Noise Ratio | 87 dB | | Speaker Maximum Output Power | 62.5 Watts | | Speaker Size | 6.5 Inches | | Speaker Type | Bookshelf | | Speaker maximum output power | 62.5 Watts | | Specific Uses For Product | Home Theater, Construction | | Subwoofer Connectivity Technology | Wired | | Subwoofer Diameter | 6.5 Inches | | Tweeter Diameter | 1 Inches | | UPC | 898349001563 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Warranty Type | Limited | | Water Resistance Level | Not Water Resistant | | Wireless Technology | Bluetooth | | Woofer Diameter | 6.5 Inches | ## Product Details - **Audio output mode:** Stereo - **Brand:** NHT - **Connectivity technology:** Wired - **Frequency response:** 40 Hz - **Speaker maximum output power:** 62.5 Watts ## Images ![Nht C Series C-3 Premium Sealed Box 3-Way Bookshelf Speaker, Single, High Gloss Black - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61wIjHVKK0L.jpg) ![Nht C Series C-3 Premium Sealed Box 3-Way Bookshelf Speaker, Single, High Gloss Black - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/710kq8o-9ZL.jpg) ![Nht C Series C-3 Premium Sealed Box 3-Way Bookshelf Speaker, Single, High Gloss Black - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81Dsf35iZoL.jpg) ![Nht C Series C-3 Premium Sealed Box 3-Way Bookshelf Speaker, Single, High Gloss Black - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81AeJFCtBgL.jpg) ![Nht C Series C-3 Premium Sealed Box 3-Way Bookshelf Speaker, Single, High Gloss Black - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61hz9WZIiSL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: To those who own this nht c3, especially those who have had many other speakers, how do these compare to polk lsim703, nht superzero, kef ls50?** A: I've had the Super Zeros for years. The C3s are definitely more refined and handle vibrations better. Mostly due to the larger enclosure and added midrange driver. I also tried Wharfedale Diamond 225s but both NHT speakers have a much better sound in my opinion. **Q: How close in timbre are the c1s to the c4s? trying to see if i need c1s or c3s to match the c4s.** A: C4 is a floor-standing speaker C1 and C3 small satellite but with the same sound tone. C3 is a better to base sound better match with c4 but c3 is more expensive than c1. **Q: Is it okay to use the classic 2 center speaker with c3** A: I've owned both, they are voiced similarly so you wouldn't have any problems combining them in a home theater with a C2 center. The new center will have more clarity than your classic C2 if you ever feel like upgrading. **Q: Can anyone recommend a good stand for these speakers** A: I just purchased theses stands for my C3’s. They’re are great especially if you need to ajust the height. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F303017467725 ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hard to Beat!! *by B***N on 28 February 2021* I’ve owned NHT speakers for 20 years now. I purchased a pair of the new C Series C-4 Floor Standing Towers earlier this year. To say I love them is an understatement. I have a small home theater in my workshop/man cave. This is not an ideal setup; however, when I have friends and family over for movies, they are all blown away at the sound. I receive compliments all the time and it's not uncommon for folks to state it sounds much better than a movie theater. (I believe that is 100% true.) The C-4's are awesome, but I also have four Classic Three's, a Three C center speaker, two B-12d Subwoofers, and a pair of IW4's all powered by a single Denon receiver. When you hear something classy like the beginning of Star Wars, these speakers really shine and give you goose bumps. They are super clear and to my ear are outstanding. The piano black is gorgeous! NHT Speakers are awesome and their customer support is stellar. I like them so much that I only sell/install them. Why would I be so biased? Speakers are very subjective. Everyone hears differently. So far out of all of my installs, EVERYONE has been overly happy with the sound and look. When you can have that kind of reaction from customers, why bother with anything else? Not to jump off topic, but I have installed numerous NHT architectural (in-wall/in-ceiling) speakers and all the sound from these installs always surprises me. It's hard to convince a customer that architectural speakers will sound great; however, when they try it, they are astounded at the sound. NHT has never let me down, which is why I am a big fan. It's awesome to have a product that at this point I have 100% customer satisfaction and zero damaged speakers. Take a chance, you will not regret this purchase! ## Frequently Bought Together - NHT C Series C-3 Premium Home Theater 3-Way Bookshelf Speaker - Clean, Hi-Res Audio | Sealed Box | Aluminum Drivers | Single Unit, High Gloss Black - FosPower Banana Plugs 12 Pairs / 24 pcs, Closed Screw 24K Gold Plated Speaker Plug Connectors for Speaker Wire, Wall Plate, Home Theater, Audio/Video Receiver, Amplifiers and Sound Systems - Denon AVR-S760H 7.2 Ch AVR - 75 W/Ch (2021 Model), Advanced 8K Upscaling, Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization, DTS Virtual:X & More, Built-in HEOS, Amazon Alexa Voice Control --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.be/products/273320060-nht-c-series-c-3-premium-sealed-box-3-way](https://www.desertcart.be/products/273320060-nht-c-series-c-3-premium-sealed-box-3-way) --- *Product available on Desertcart Belgium* *Store origin: BE* *Last updated: 2026-10-04*
