South Park, Vol. 10: Flashbacks/Summer Sucks [VHS]

Needed to replace my old worn out south park DVDs and this was way cheaper and easier.

It's South Park...IYKYK! What's not to love!?!?!?Much cheaper than collecting each separate season so I decided to grab each group of 5. Couldn't be happier.

The last time I bought a set like this, I didn't pay attention to the vendor and it wasn't coded for American DVD players, THIS ONE WAS! All of the menu's are functional and they even have the original Matt and Trey bits introducing the episodes (From the fireside chats to Entertaining at the Old Folks Home)! I'm glad I read the details this time...this is a must-have for any fan of South Park! (Seasons 1 and 2 have bleeps for the profanity since they didn't make unedited episodes back then but seasons 3 to 5 are all uncensored.

ACTUALLY, I have ordered now all three compilation DVD videos seasons 1-5 /6 through 10 & 11-15 of South Park. Only one disc out of probably 15 to 25 within the three compilations had a scratch.ALL should be in everyone’s permanent collection of animation .... Thanx Amazon

Worth noting : seasons 1 (one) and 2 (two) are censored. They do not exist in uncensored format and this is the only way they exist as they did not create alternate reels. Just wanted to give you all a heads up so it isn't a surprise. Essentially 1 and 2 are censored exactly as they were on comedy central when they originally aired. 3 through 5 use alternate reels and are fully uncensored however.As everyone else pointed out, this came poorly packaged and the case was a bit damaged but i don't really care about that at all, the dvds play on my PlayStation and it works on North American devices. I like most people was holding off buying this boxset because it’s not Region 1 luckily when I bought this it was Region 1 it just begs the question of why does the listing have the Australian version and not the Region 1 version.

This review is for the actual blu-ray box set of South Park seasons 1-5 as pictured on this page with a pretty cool photo collage style graphic of (by now iconic) Kenny.As of my writing this review in June of 2019, the first 5 seasons of South Park (beautifully remastered in HD) can be purchased for a grand total of about $35 in one compact set. To me that’s a bit mind-blowing as I vividly recall how much a single DVD season of this show would cost in the early 200Xs and the quality on those standard definition sets can’t even begin to approach the gorgeous presentation available on these HD blu-ray presentations.Not only have the creators (Trey and Matt) gone back to the early seasons and completely re-rendered them in true high definition, they’ve also thoughtfully expanded the picture on both sides (with ZERO cropping!) to fill our modern widescreen televisions. The result is spectacular and the absolute best, definitive presentation that these episodes will ever have. Period.That being said, I’m also pleased to say that the early seasons are just as funny now as they were when they originally aired. So much so that, due to my enjoyment, I completely lost track of time the first night after receiving this set. Ended up watching an entire disc after planning to only check out a few episodes!Really looking forward to working my way through all 5 seasons and moving on to the next set (6-10) as soon as I am able. As of this week two more sets containing the next 10 seasons have begun to appear in “the wild” (AKA Wal-Mart) and should hopefully be making their way to Amazon here pretty soon. That means 4 sets, each with 5 HD seasons, containing the majority of South Park’s entire run are out there for you to grab and enjoy forever. Could definitely think of worse ways to part with my money.*Side effects may include extreme fits of uncontrollable laughter and completely losing all track of time during initial viewing of this set.

Vaya vaya , fue una suerte encontrar está compilación de las primeras y legendarias primeras 5 temporadas de South park, el boxset viene con 15 discos que esta serigrafiado y marcados con el numero de disco y la temporada , solo cuenta con audio y subtitulos en inglés , definitivamente vale mucho la pena ya que pude conseguirlo a un precio bastante asequible, mucho menos de lo que vale una temporada sola. Si te gusta South Park vale mucho la pena este set que de por si esta escaso.

Important stuff: This is region unlocked so don't worry about the fact its an import it will play on uk blu ray players.Its remastered in HD and widescreen and looks visually almost in line with the modern day iteration.Review: It’s everything you remembered and obviously this is dumb profane humour with satire and dark humour, but in this day and age its actually aged pretty well and its nice to watch something that doesn't care if its offensive as its fully inclusive and diverse with its humour that pokes fun at anyone and anything. This is fun entertainment if you want to switch your brain off and laugh.Highly recommended

In cofanetto fantastico che include le prime 5 stagioni di una serie fantastica, al prezzo a cui la trovai non potei far meno di confermare l'ordine immediatamente, con mio sommo dispiacere all'arrivo l'assenza di un doppiaggio in questa edizione mi costrinse a rimandarlo indietro. Perfetto per il resto anche esteticamente molto piacevole.
