I have a very small, very determined little dog who has chewed through several leashes. I bought this one to replace a cable leash I accidentally left behind on a trip. This is a GREAT leash, far superior to the one I lost. The handle is very comfortable, the cable is very flexible, and it is the perfect length for a small dog. I like it so much I bought a spare!

When we got our puppy last month he immediately started to chew on the expensive leash I used with our previous Shiba Inu. This has been perfect! My little Shiba Shark chews on this as soon as it's attached to his harness, but it remains like new. I love the length, the soft handle and the grip. I'm so happy with my purchase! Highly recommend!

While it was chew proof, the sliding handle made it difficult for us to transition to a close hold in traffic. Ultimately we had to return for a different leash.Updated....after seeing our review, the company reached out to see what they could do to improve our experience. We had already gotten our refund, but Jessica with customer service found a different type of leash for us to try and sent it to us free of charge. This leash has worked out very well and has the traffic control handle where we need. I would definitely use this company again because of this experience. They will help you find exactly what you are looking for.

The sliding handle loosens quickly and is not durable. Definitely a choking or blockage risk for a chewer. Once the cord is exposed, the leash is a Hazzard, so if you have a persistent chewers, keep an extra on hand. I've bought two over the past 4 months and I'm likely to buy more in the future.

My medium sized dog is sweet but reactive, she also likes to chew. She chewed through a couple nylon leashes so I began a search for a chew proof leash. I found a similar item from another company, but it didn't have the moveable grip and the plastic covering quickly developed chips. I then bought a chain link leash with woven rope, but it was kind of heavy, uncomfortable for me and my dog. I bought this because of the moveable grip and it has been, by far, the best leash I have used with Layla. It is lightweight, the coating has a smooth comfortable feel and the grip gives me much better control when Layla spots a squirrel or bird. This cost less than the other plastic covered leash, is far more suitable and is my leash of choice, no cracks in the plastic after several months.

I waited to write my review until I could gage really how well this leash holds up, and I was pleasantly surprised! I have a Rottweiler/Pit Bull mix who has very high anxiety, and when she gets anxious on her walks, her go-to soothing mechanism is to bite her leash. We’ve gone through so many leashes, we’ve made our own duct tape leash guards (because she’d bite right through the store bought ones), and she’d still even bite the chain leashes that are supposed to be bite-proof (and that is definitely not good for her teeth). This leash is the first one that’s held up! It’s thin enough to where she doesn’t find it as much fun to bite, and it’s strong enough to where the wire hasn’t budged and even the outside plastic is holding up! The grip/handle is comfortable too. We’re very presently surprised all around with this leash.

I have two German shepherd puppies. One likes to take the other for a walk and chew up her leash in the process. He can’t get thru this leash no matter how hard he tries.

This lead is brilliant. It’s super strong - my pup has a history of chewing through her leashes and with this one she doesn’t even try. It doesn’t have the same flexibility as a material leash so if you don’t need something strong and chew proof I’d probably stick to the material one. It’s not an attractive lead but it does the job and it does it effectively and it’s a decent length.

Great lead, our dog has chewed her way through several normal ones so that is why we purchased this one and it’s just the job.Comfortable to hold, flexible cord and lightweight.

Nice comfortable handle with a sponge grip to shorten it when needed.Dog hasn't tried biting it yet but iam pretty sure he won't get through it.Overall nice lead.

The lead is great, my pet hasn’t chewed through it at all and it is very flexible just like a normal one. I like the length and the padded extra bit on it as a design feature. In fact I have now bought 2 of them, one for me and one for my dog Walker! My main reason for buying it was to find a lead with metal in it so that it could not be easily cut due to the large amount of recent dog thefts and I feel confident that this helps. If I could just suggest one thing, it would be to offer them with 2 different attachments as an extra perhaps, I’ve added a locking carabeena clip both ends to increase my dogs safety even further to put off anyone from doing a quick grab and run and as a customer I would certainly have been happy to have paid extra for this.

I wish I had ordered this sooner,its the perfect dog lead for my cockapooHe trys to chew it but gives up quickly. It's wonderful knowing that my dog won't escape when out for a walk
