So Yes you can "Scan" a barcode into Excel, Word or even a text or "Note" document. We just used it in Kona linked to a Portable using Excel with lookup codes to do inventory. Battery under constant usage held up for over 4 hours. Good range. **Q: Does the scanner work on barcodes on curved surfaces?** A: Yes it can work, but you have to move up / down little act or keep the scanner 1-2 feet back from the item than scan it until you heard the noise....The scaners works very good but also the barcode printing quality is very important to read it... **Q: I will be selling at a book fair. Do I need special software to print the scanned books to be purchased onto a receipt?** A: It depends on what you want on the receipt. If you just want a list of books purchased, their prices, the total amount due, and the date of sale you could easily set up an Excel spreadsheet to find this data when a book is scanned. That is what I'm currently doing to make a list of the equipment I'm taking to a job. **Q: how can i get a Hi-Resolution copy of the barcodes in the manual, so I can copy them and print them on my own paper instructions?** A: we have uploaded two pdf manual on the Amazon page you purchase this scanner . page link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GDJ2BH6. The instructions are attached to the lower left corner of the page ,under Technical Specification. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐ Not worth it *by M***D on 3 September 2024* It will not scan the small items and when you wanna scan you need to go so close ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great easy to use barcode scanner. *by A***S on 3 July 2017* These scanners work really well.
