I got this book for my dad for Christmas in 2023. Him and I went to Disney World that September, and I wanted a fun way to bring home some of that magic that we miss so much when we are not in the Disney bubble. I looked through the whole book before gifting it. And him and I sat there for hours looking through it, reading up on the history and just taking it all in. He told me it is one of his favorite Disney books to date, he has a lot of old school, trivia and outdated books. This was the perfect addition to his Disney library

We celebrated our honeymoon & 50th Anniversary in WDW. We've seen it grow from a small 1 attraction park to the world it is today. We've been to each addition Disney made in those 50 years with & without kids. It is a very thick, heavy, & expensive book for someone who isn't excited by Disney history. Writing & pictures were good, but some stories, we thought, could have been shortened without loosing any information. Our lives are intertwined with Disney so this book is a trip down memory lane for us. It almost makes all the MONEY we've spent at Disney understandable & worthwhile. "My husband highly disagrees with that".

Far and away, the most comprehensive and detailed historical account of Walt Disnry World. Stories you you know told in greater, more accurate detail. Photos you've only seen digitally edited presented and restored to their original form alongside photos you've never seen before.These are only 2 of the many reasons this work of art has sold so quickly and become so popular among both Disney history novices, like myself, as well as prominent Disney historians. Given the authors, this is no surprise, however there are many times you'll still be amazed to read and see what they have given to us in these pages. It's readily apparent they took Walt's concept of "plus it" in their writing and editing.In short, as The Boys would sing, it is supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

How do you cover 50 years and make everyone happy? Well they did a pretty good job of it. Yes, some of my favorites weren't there or just a brief mention, but this is not a book to pass on. Yes, the text gets a little fluffy, but hey, it's Disney. Great mix of photos with one little quibble. They blurred faces in crowd shots. Probably a legal thing, but have not seen that before. Anyway, a great addition to my collection along with "Disney World at 50" by the Orlando Sentinel. I did have a very negative experience with the vendor taking months to get the book and after a much lower price.

I just got the book today and amazed at how detailed it is. I can't wait to read it. The cover is beautiful except it is tore.I would have given it 4 stars otherwise. I was going to leave it out on the coffee table. But not now.
