I love the idea of this album and so does my 15 month old son. So much so that we own several soft photo albums, filled with images of family and friends. However, this particular album is inferior to the best selling album in the category in several ways: 1. It's more expensive. On average, this album sells for $6 more, a difference of over 40%. 2. The cover is not as padded, which makes it feel cheaply made & the overall effect isn't as nice. 3. Because it's not as padded, the center binding is too thick & protrudes awkwardly. 4. It's slightly smaller. This is not a huge deal, but it does mean the photos cannot be pushed to the side opposite the opening. The corners are rounded enough that the photo sits right at the opening, where my son will likely remove it eventually.Both photo albums have adorable designs on the cover and a mirror at the back that my son loves. He often picks up these albums and flips through them. And, I'm glad I bought 2 different designs, so that it's easy to tell one album from another. However, if you're only looking for one album for your child or for a wonderful gift, this is the rare time that the less expensive option is superior. There's a reason another album outsells this one!

I really love this album and the idea of it! My grandson throws what we call temper tantrums if he cant see one of his mommies. He is truely a mommy's boy. Well this book has helped so much. He is only 6 months old but just being able to look at their photos helps him a lot to not have his anxiety. He loves looking at all the photos of his moms and his grandparents and cousins and more. I love the fact of the size of it that it fits the 4x6 picture in the entirety and I dont have to cut them down at all. He also loves looking in the mirror in the back of the book. He likes to make faces at himself in it. The book is made very durable. We all know everything a baby touches has to go straight to the mouth 1st and this was no exception. It holds up very well to his eating it and scrunching the pages. The pictures hold up in the plastic sleeves. And they are easy enough to change if you wish to do so. I would highly reccomend this book to all parents or grandparents or even aunts and uncles.

PROS: - has room for several photos - seems durable (has not been tested yet) - the photos are not easy for the child to pull out - the "mirror" is reflective enough for a baby to enjoyCONS: - 4x6 photos do NOT fit. I had to trim all photos before they would fit in the plastic - The plastic pages are not easy to see through. They crinkle and produce a lot of glare, making pictures harder to see - The openings (where you put the photos in) switch sides half way through the book, and the back half were harder to put inCOMPARISON: I purchased this item and the "Sassy Look Photo Book" at the same time. While the Sassy Look holds MUCH fewer photos (only about 6), Sassy's plastic was much easier to see through and it looked nicer overall.CONCLUSION: I wouldn't buy this product again or recommend it to anyone who wants to be able to clearly see the pictures they put in it, but it works well enough I suppose. It will depend on how durable it really is.

This is such a good idea, because babies are instinctively drawn to the human face, especially a smiling one. In the past with photo books like this one we have inserted photos of the smiling faces of family and friends, so the baby can learn to recognize them and enjoy this happy photo book. This particular version is attractively put together -- the only complaint I have is that one of the cloth seams that frame the pages had a very loose end which required repair (with needle and thread) before I sent it on to a relative as a baby gift.

I had been looking for something like this for a couple of months and was delighted to find this one on Amazon. The pages are a bit on the flimsily made side (air bubbles inevitably pop up on the pictures, and there can be a strange glare when you're trying to look at them), but on the whole, for this price, it's terrific. Our 11-month old daughter LOVES looking at family members, and I find it's a great way to familiarize her with names. It's particularly nice to fill the album with relatives who maybe don't live so close to home!

I bought this for my 2 year old who loves to look at real pictures. I've filled it with images of his family and friends. He spends a lot of time flipping through it. My only suggestion to the manufacture is if there was a way to make it so the kids cant take the pictures out...that would be great! All in all its a nice, soft, cute, photo album. It holds 15 4x6 Photos.

I love the idea of this gift. Our granddaughter is having her first birthday and lives far from us. This gives her a chance to become more familiar with family members she doesn't see frequently. My only issue was the quality of the stitching. I sent the first one back because there was a glaring problem on the front of a frayed edge. The second one came very promptly and thankfully the front looked pretty good, but there was still poor stitching of the binding in various places. I can deal with it more on the inside, but the quality is not the best. But, it will serve it's purpose and be fun for our granddaughter.

I bought this little book for my great-grandson, who will turn seven months at Christmas. I plan to fill it with photos of his parents, grandparents and his great-grandmother (me). Also, I hope to include photos of his parents dog and his Nonna's dog. Also, I want to add a couple or three photos of his little friends that he hangs out with, who are the children of his parent's friends. Guess I should order a second book for aunts & uncles & cousins. Photos from Shutterfly fit perfectly.
