SlideBelts Full Grain Leather, Gunmetal Buckle - 4/20/19
Current as of 4/20/2019: I'm posting this to help others who, like me, may be looking at old or misleading reviews.I have uploaded four pictures.* Picture 1: The box in its current state (4/20/19)* Picture 2: How the box is packed* Picture 3: Unpacked, and back of box* Picture 4: Full grain leather cross-sectionFull Grain Leather: First things first, if you order the Full Grain Leather belt, that's what you (should) get. I trimmed two inches early on the first cut, with a pair of Fiskars scissors, then cut a second time to my true belt length, to ensure there weren't any weird shenanigans based on trim length. The cross-section of both shows the full grain leather to be completely legit. I believe, as per others in here, that the few who claimed otherwise may have ordered or been mis-delivered the wrong version.Leather Quality: We'll see! Cross-section shows it is 100% full-grain leather. Once I confirmed the full grained leather, I trimmed per instructions, assembled the buckle, and then ran the outer layer of the belt through a quick mink oil application and clean-up. With any solid full grain leather, there should be no issue on that front. Lo and behold, I had no issues with the conditioning of the belt. The caveat here is that this is very early in the game. That said, the belt is so far of very good quality.Buckle Quality: The TLDR: Very good quality buckle. I believe Amazon groups products like this together, even if they have significant variances in buckles/leather, etc. To eliminate doubt, what I purchased was listed as: Onyx Black with Gunmetal Buckle, One Size. The one (potential) down side I'll correlate here is that people have mentioned their buckles being heavy. This is a high quality buckle, and the weight corresponds to that. The teeth that hold the leather area you trim are very sturdy, with no immediately manifest potential for breaking or slipping.Sizing: Sizing of where the belt tells you to trim seems very accurate. Based on what company you ask, I'm a 36-38 waist. I trimmed to 38 first, gauged that, and then sized down to a 36, which fit perfectly. I'd recommend people start a size up, and then trim down carefully to what is the best fit for their waist size and how much overhang they want on the extra belt piece which I'm sure there's a name for and I don't care enough to research.I have two different security badges I have to wear, which typically clamp on the belt. I'll be wearing these on this belt 8+ hours a day, 5 days a week, going forward. If it's past 30 days and you haven't seen an update on this, assume I have mentally moved this four star review to a five star review. Either that's what's happened, or I'm dead in a ditch somewhere, and this belt is hopefully something the EMTs are looking at and wondering, "Damn, that's a nice belt... I wonder where he got that?"

Why Have I Not Had This My Whole Life?
This, is hands down, the best belt that I have ever owned in my entire life.My waist size, depending on the pair of pants, ranges from 28 to 32, usually hovering in the middle at 30. Yes, I'm a very skinny person. Which also means that I'm very bony, and am prone to having my belt cut into my waist if too tight. In 2018, I went through five leather belts, all of them breaking the same way as the last; the hole ripped! For me, I can never find the proper balance. If I choose the hole that's comfortable, my pants need to be pulled up every 30 seconds as I'm walking. Should I choose the hole that keeps my pants up properly, the belt is cutting into my waist and causing severe discomfort in mere minutes. Eventually, the leather gives out and the hole I use most rips, and the belt fails. Please welcome to the stage, the Slide Belt. This belt, is amazing. I can't believe I've gone my entire life without owning this product!Setting up the belt was a cinch. There are markings on the back that indicate size, and you want to cut it a size or two too large in case you need to adjustments, because every pair of pants fits differently. You then clamp the end of the belt into the buckle, and you're ready to wear the belt!Adjusting this belt on the go is as easy as ever. I'll give you an example. I clean floors for a living. When I'm at work every night, there comes a point where I have to pick some rubber mats up off the floor. How I wear the belt normally when I'm just walking around, is a little too tight when I have to do a lot of bending down. So, I simply loosen the belt by one or two clicks, and it's now keeping my pants up, but NOT cutting into my waist when I bend! As soon as I'm done with the repeated bending, I simply pull the belt tighter by one or two clicks again and I'm ready to walk! The concept behind this belt is amazing. It makes it the most adjustable belt I've ever owned, and it has never loosened or tightened on its own or anything, and shows no signs of breakage or wearing out so far.
