This paper paddle fan is much sturdier than I had anticipated. It's made from bamboo, paper, and a bit of glue. It looks like something you'd find in an import shop. I'm really fond of it. Like many, I purchased it to help with hot flashes. I'm not dealing with menopause as gracefully as I thought I would. I'm trying anything and everything recommended. I bought two different fans from Amazon and this one is by far the better of the two. You get maximum air current with minimal effort; this fans my face like a boss. It's a lovely looking fan for this price.Additionally, this fan would make a great canvas. It would be so pretty with a custom painting on it. Many mediums would work (e.g. paint, ink, gold leaf). I may splatter some metallic gold paint on mine. Wouldn't that be beautiful?

LOVE this fan! It really moves the air & is comfortabe to hold & looks good too. I have to take pain meds that, as a side effect, I have intense hot flashes, so I bought this fan in hopes it would help cool me. It does the job! Always have it with me. I will probably buy me a couple more just to have extras. It is as described & arrived on time.

Great fan. Comfortable grip, as far as these types of hand fans are capable. It moves quite a bit of air, and helps to quickly cool down this "heat intolerant" customer. I've purchased three of these fans, to have one always at hand wherever I may need one. Great quality for a paper fan too, holds up well even with frequent use, and occasionally some abuse from my three year old niece. Highly recommended.

I keep it in my kitchen and use it when needed. Just wish it came in a smaller size, so I can carry it in my purse.

I bought this fan for my wife who suffers from frequent hot flashes. This fan works! It literally makes me have to move away from my wife when she starts using it because of the amount wind it creates gives me the chills. Could be stronger made but I would say it's certainly worth the money.

Actually, my wife loves these fans. We live in toasty Arizona and she says that the larger design with a substantial handle is really wonderful. She ordered several and has then strategically located around the house and car so she is just a reach away from a cooling breeze.

It's not a flimsy little fan, this one makes a gigantic wind and saves me from hot flashes. No splintering from the handle, which has been a problem for other fans I've gotten.
