Love it! Exactly as described! Only complaint I have is that it's a little smaller than what I was expecting. The wooden handle is about 4.25 inches long, which fits in my hand but is just a bit smaller than I was anticipating. The bristles are about 0.75 inch long and are firm but have enough give to them as to not be 'pokie'. My dog LOVES it and it makes her coat super shiny and soft! She now gets so excited when I get it out and show it to her.

This thing is rather overpriced and the finish on the wood smelled when I got it. This is probably because they used an oil-based polyurethane wood finish and not a water-based polyurethane finish. It's likely, because of this, that many of these brushes are still in need of curing when they ship out (as was the case with mine), and secondly that most of them will continue to off-gas throughout their whole lifetimes. You notice it most strongly when you sniff it up close, which will not be unusual for your pet.The brush itself is also rather small and collects fur very quickly, so it's not exactly pleasing aesthetically. You're much better off getting a Yerba brush of some kind designed for humans -- they are much larger, better designed, and far cheaper.

Good quality brush, bristles are nice. Cats love it on their faces.

The description of this product on the web stated it had soft board hair bristles. They are not boars hair and most definitely not soft. My Westie has a skin condition, so I wash him with a special shampoo, and it is recommended that during shampooing the lather be massaged into the skin and fur with a boar bristle brush. I got this one to use for that purpose. Getting wet, the wood split a little in the first use. I'm not complaining because I assume it isn't meant to be used in water, but it was wonderful as I used it and the dog seemed to enjoy the shampoo/massage. The bristles are soft. I have also used it dry to brush him, and he likes that too. I saw a comment that the brush was not recommended for a Westie, but mine has a shorter haircut, so it works fine. Seems a little overpriced, but if I needed another, I'd order again if I cannot find the same for less in a local pet store.

I don't see where it is cutting down on the shedding of my short hair pup. Bristles are soft though, which is nice.

I bought this brush because I thought it was small enough to get around my 9 lb dog's face safely. It isn't, but it sure does the job on the rest of him.He's a mixed breed with, by the looks of his hair and his size, some Yorkie in him so his hair is fairly long. He lies still for this brush and when I'm finished with one side, he rolls over for me to brush the other side. I'll get a toothbrush to do around his muzzle and eyes.My dog loves it and I love it. The amazing thing is that I brushed him about four hours ago and his hair is still pretty neat.

I thought from the photo it was 3 brushes. But $21 for one brush is a scam. It is small and not that soft.
