Review: Bought to replace 3 G Doro - Bought for wife who prefers simple clam shell phone. Previous Doro used 3 G. Happy with this but battery doesn't last as long as old one did. Only makes calls - approx. 1 per day for about an hour or less. Doesn't message or take photos.
Review: Not suitable for intended elderly market - I bought this for my father who is in his 80s. He wanted something easy to use, to send text messages. I must say that this is the hardest phone I've seen since the early days of the Nokia back in the 90s... It is so complicated to type anything. It took him over half hour just to type ”good morning” to reply to a text to his granddaughter! Press this button, now this button then along to this letter, now press ok, now press this button etc etc. I've today bought him a smart phone for half the price which has a proper keyboard for him the type messages. Not impressed! certainly not easy to use for elderly people, (or anyone to be honest!)

**Q: Having problems with incoming texts. Only shows bottom line of text and have to scroll upwards and read the text from the bottom. Any solution?**
A: get rid of it, its a terrible phone. bought it for  my wife a few weeks ago.not easy to use. for£90 you can get a smart phone, more user friendly and a full size screen. i,m looking now.

**Q: Does anyone have a photo how to insert the sim card**
A: Keeping the phone closed, turn the phone round so you are facing the back (The camera should not be present). Pop open the back and remove the battery. You should then see a silver sim bracket present.

These phones are great for older people. I ordered this for my father. He finds touch screen one's a problem. This doro 7030 works on 4g or can be set to work on 3g.easy to use. Set it in settings to WiFi network. Has a good reception. Though which ever network provider you use but say you had a short stay in hospital best to set it use which ever network the hospital uses which is free and you will still be able to make your calls. Not a fancy phone like smart phones. But good for calls and texts. It does have internet search. You can replace the battery on these phones yourself if you need to. It can be set up for emergency alerts. A good little easy to use phone for older people looking for a non fancy non complicated phone.
