## Description

Perfect for when you’ve hit a sage grouse. Or a honey hole. The Mossback Bird and Trout fixed blade hunting knife with a G10 handle and 2.8” modified drop point blade;works as well upriver as it does on upland game. Tom Krein from Gentry, Arkansas, truly lived the motto of form follows function when designing this knife. Having served as an ER trauma nurse, he learned a lot about ergonomics and human anatomy. Not to mention the anatomy of animals being an avid hunter. Over the years, he’s used this background and a hefty dose of knife knowledge to create over 13 noteworthy blades. The Mossback Bird and Trout knife is big enough for any bird but small enough for trout. With a modified drop point blade, it’s compact enough to strap easily to your belt and so lightweight you won’t even know it’s there. Just like you are when sneaking up on grouse and brookies. With a G10 handle, it’s also incredibly durable and feels great in your hand. Meanwhile a nylon sheath makes it easy to attach to your belt or strap to your packThis knife looks even better in action. The Mossback Bird and Trout knife is the blade Krein wishes he had growing up on the White River. You can have it today.Specifications:Blade Length: 2.851" (72.42 mm)Edge: PlainSteel: SK5Blade Finish: Powder CoatBlade Thickness: 0.09" (2.29 mm)Grind: HollowOpen Length: 6.562" (166.67 mm)Weight: 2.0 oz (56.7g)Handle: G10Style: Fixed Blade Knife with SheathSheath Material: Nylon webbingSheath Weight: 0.9 oz (25.51g)

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A great knife for trout at a fare price.
*by A***Y on May 11, 2021*

The Knife arrived on time. It was exactly what was advertised, and what I needed for cleaning trout. The the knife felt really good in the hand either blade up or down grip. It’s smaller size makes it perfect for trout. A paring knife is probably the beast size knife for trout and this, I feel, is the sporting equivalent. The sheath provided, though not leather, does the job. All in all I am very happy with my purchase. It’s mor than worth the price.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent little knife
*by T***Z on April 12, 2019*

This guy is very well made & comes with great edge on it. I own quite a few CRKT knives & find them all well made, durable and sharp. I think they are excellent tools at a good price. As for this critter, I've used it on a bunch of pheasants last season. Worked great and the edge is still sharp. Barely need a touch up after about a dozen birds. The grip is nicely made & feels very good in the hand. No slipping. I have not used it on trout yet, but now that spring has sprung, I plan to! Recommended!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ great size bird knife
*by J***E on October 16, 2020*

Overall, this is a great knife. Handle is exactly as described, blade is small and sharp. Personal preference on feel, I wish the handle were just slightly thicker for a more secure grip, but on the light birds, it doesn't really cause any issues.
