Easy to install fan for dropped ceilings, but stopped working after a year
Basement apartments tend to be lacking in ventilation and ours was no exception. Since the room had a dropped ceiling and not enough floor to ceiling clearance, a standard ceiling fan was out of the question. We were pleased to find the Drop Grid Ceiling Fan. The fan was easy to install. We just removed one of the ceiling tiles and attached the wiring to the electrical connection where a fluorescent light had been located. The fan was never very powerful, but it was adequate and did serve our purposes for a few months. After about a year, however, the motor stopped turning. The purchase was made a couple of years ago, and perhaps the design is a little more robust now.

awesome fans. if they were cheaper I would buy 2 more.
Love these fans, I wired 2 of them together in my garage. They don't move a ton of air but circulate air very well. I run a heater in my garage sometimes and these work perfect to push the heat back down.

A must for your hot office.
This fan works wonderfully. It fits the drop ceiling perfectly snug. The air flow and direction is operated by the remote control provided. The airflow has three settings (high, medium & low). You can stop the direction so it blows on one spot or it can rotate at 360 degrees. Since the vent on the fan is angled down at 45 degrees, it gives you more options to where you want to hang it.
