If you don't own a Scuba Dude, you should. They are a little crude by modern watch standards, but that is part of the charm. If you are a Vostok person you know what I mean. They come with an in-house movement which is rare even among most luxury brands. If you want something a little out of the ordinary, this is the one.

I’m a Scuba instructor and actually use this to time my dives as backup to my computer.This is a solid watch. The bezel does not click and is bi directional. But. I have not found this to be a problem. You really have to want to move it. It’s not really stiff, but it didn’t easily move. I have tried to “accidentally move it” and was not successful. I cannot honestly see how you would accidentally move it and jeopardize your dive time.Having been a diver for 30 years, I remember when these were all we had and they worked perfectly. With that in mind it’s really an excellent product.Visibility is good although date is a little small, timekeeping is excellent, just the right weight, and finish is outstanding.The fabric strap is ok. I cut the under part off so that it would sit flat and will be adding a waffle rubber strap.If you’re looking for a vintage watch that has history and will last a lifetime, this is it.Read the history of these. They’re actually more waterproof than watches 10x the price.

Can't say enough about this watch. Interesting back story. 40mm case wears comfortably. The blue dial with the "scuba dude" looks great and is a conversation starter. Water resistance to 200m is amazing. I was able to set the time no problems. The crown does feel loose when unscrewed, as other reviewers have suggested, but follow the instructions and it won't be a problem. The date feature was a little hard to set, and I typically don't even try now when i wear the watch because it takes too long. But for $95 and 200m WR, it's still worth the purchase. Love this watch!

I like this watch, I really love the dial, keeps time accurate and it looks better to me with a leather black strap. Vostok does not disappoint and I look forward to adding more to my collection. These are reliable time pieces with a history that is worth reading about. I recommend it camrades!

This is my second Russian watch. Neither one has been very durable. Unfortunately, the 2nd. stage hand winding never worked. Recently, the automatic winding also stopped working. I am going to see how much it will take to repair it, and update the review.

These Vostok watches are great in every way. Good value. Tough reliable and in my opinion look good. This was a gift to my son which was given after my own experience with the brand.

I purchased this watch on a whim. I am very pleased with the band and the watch, it doesn't say in the description; but the watch crystal is Acrylic (not a deal breaker), but i am hard on my watches. I'm careless of my arm and wrist placement... So a few times already, I have had to clean the watch due to paint marks on the "crystal". Keeps great time, looks cool, big watch face. Easy to set the date and time...

I've worn it for a few days and the glass got scratched. This happened with 2 of the same watch
