I really thought this was going to be slightly harder kinetic-sand texture. This was hard work! Kept my nephews and family busy for hours! We broke some of the tools it came with and used some of our own perhaps not being as patient as we could have been. The gems were great size and quality and overall such a great experience. The value of the gems and bonus for small workout and entertainment was great. I do recommend doing this outside, it created a foggy cloud and sand/flour like dust. It didn’t smell and easily washed off but I don’t think I would want it in my own living room.

I bought this for my grandson's birthday. I haven't given it to him yet but it looks nice. I think he will like it because he likes to dig for "treasure".

It's a really cool and fun gift but they tools they give you aren't strong enough. It's literally a stone pyramid that you have to break to get the artifacts. Definitely do it outside as it's very dusty.

My granddaughter just loved it!

8 and 6 year olds loved excavating as we were reading history of Egyptians.

My 9 year old daughter was very excited about this gift. She enjoyed digging and finding the gems however there was only 5 gems out of the 18 gems that are stated to be in the rock.
