Hanpearl 500g/0.1g Digital Kitchen Lab Gram Electronic Spoon Weight Scale Measure LCD

I bought one of these back in 2012 and it had been working great - no issues. However recently, I had to buy a new one because I accidentally submerged it in water. When I was initially shopping for digital measuring spoons, I purchased one that came with a silver spoon that came off for cleaning. The idea was great and it was the main reason why I switched. However I ended up returning it and buying this. The walls of the silver spoon were too flat and didn't contain things very well. If you had it on the counter and pressed down on one of the buttons, the entire contents would spill out. It was also fairly heavy and the buttons were hard to press. I immediately returned it and bought this. The walls are high enough to keep things contained and the buttons are easier to press. It's lightweight, stable and can easily be hung on the wall for storage. The plus side is that it also comes with batteries! I used it for 2 years before replacing mine.

1st off, its HUGE. I was thinking this would help me measure my herbs for tea, but I think its more for measuring flour and sugar. However, it doesn't stop the digital weight clock correctly and the amounts are way off.

Arrived on time. Is exactly as described.

This may be my mistake, but I was thinking I could use it to measure powders as I scoop them out of the container. Not the case. This is much easier to use as a very small kitchen scale, to measure predetermined things. I say this because once you put weight on the scale it locks in that weight in a matter of 2 seconds or less, making it near impossible to tweak the amount to get an exact amount on the spoon before it locks. If I had it to do over again I'd just buy myself a set of regular kitchen measuring spoons instead of this.

Ok. But definitely cheaply made. Returned.
