Every generation has their own version of the blues, music that captures a sense of melancholia and provides a sonic reflecting pool for young lovers, old souls, and the eternally heartbroken. For their darkly shaded and radiant debut album Full Circle, HÆLOS have found their blues where others go to find pure, uncut joy: the dancefloor. The London trio’s version of a night out is a million miles away from mirror balls and sweaty bodies, their rippling electronic pop conjuring the exhilarating privacy of a cavernous club’s dark pockets and the introspective comedowns that accompany rainy 5 a.m. cab rides. Throughout the album, HÆLOS reconstruct the firmament of dance sounds past and present to construct an exquisitely elegiac mood that retains a sense of presence as it conveys the pain of emotional distance. We’re living in a time where the struggle to make human connections is hampered by our inability to unplug, and so Full Circle is a glorious, gorgeous contradiction of sorts: emotional pop that perfectly captures ageless emotional conundrums, featuring music that could only be made in the present day. This debut album is the sound of three individuals finding common ground, for themselves and for anyone who’s ever believed that it’s impossible to move your body without listening to your own heart.

Magical, mysterious & mind-bending
This album is completely on point. Takes me places no other band has in a loooong time. The deep driving force help you forget all your problems, but then recall them in a new light. I came to believe its not sad or hopeless, but an internal male cry or mantra to reaffirm the human race IS heading in the right position. Listen, and see for yourself.

Outstanding debut
I don't often review on Amazon, but this band needs to be heard. I stumbled across them while visiting England recently and bought the album after watching their YouTube videos. This is soulful trip hop at its best! The music is moody and sometimes understated, but drives songs like Pray and Pale. The interplay of the two vocalists is superb. I hope they return to the US soon and look forward to future music from them.

Earworm on steroids!
Simply stunning and incredibly addictive. When music still runs through your head days and even weeks after listening, you know you've hit upon something special. How this sound translates live is even more incredible. What an accomplishment for a debut album!

Spectacular sonic adventure
My only regret is that I'm finding this band 7 years later than I could have. Their KEXP sessions are immaculate, and the album expands on that excellence.

Great Album
Musically the album is great. I purchased the vinyl record. Though the sound of the vinyl was very good unfortunately the record itself had a warp.

Una vera sorpresa
Album consigliato per chi come me ama la musica elettronica è il trip hop, battuta bassa e e suoni fumosi.

Great LP to play start to end
One of my favourite albums of all time, prefect to just put it on and listen right through, I highly recommend!

Good album but very long shipping
Let the record show that I purchased the vinyl during the 2020 pandemic, so obviously it is 'normal' that delays would occur. Nonetheless, it took 1.5 months to arrive at my mailbox, which I think is pretty unsatisfying. In regards to the album itself, I have nothing more to say: it is one of favourite albums of all time, and the post-apocalyptic ambiance is really great. But I have to mention that the sound effects on vinyl is not as deep as they would be on digital music (I hear much more sound on my iPhone with earphones than with my turntable). Though it is still a great purchase.Despite the long waiting period, I would recommend to buy.Peace!
